I am a 54 year old male to female transgender person who has lived as a full time woman from March 2009 on. I am 6'1"and divorced. I love nature, plants, pets, hiking, road trips and Disney. I am a spritual person who has found herself a home with the Unitarian Universalist church.

Transitioning, trying to find a job, working on my soul, learning about my real self, and most importantly..... be my real self! From the time I was 10, on many levels, it easier to hide what I wanted and who I really was. It was the safe thing to do. Even when I would step out a little bit, it would take years for things to maybe slip out. That is why the biggest thing I am doing in my life is working with the thought of " It's OK to be my real self. Eveyone else please deal with it. I am going to be myself". Sounds like I am a bit full of myself. Not really... I have started to get politicaly active in the GLBT community in terms of equality laws..... I help run a transgender support group in Gainesville, FL. I make sure that there is always a place where a TG person can find a friend and someone to listen......Have taken the first part of the Master Naturalist program so as to do more to protect what is left of the natural Florida.... I have been trying to spread the word about producing your own organic food......and I took 7 months to nurse my mom back to health. When everything else fails, a hike in the woods or a walk on the local state rails to trail does me much good.

In books I like science fiction, Harry Potter, history, plant/gardening, and spritual( Conversations With God). For movies and long tv shows I like science fiction( Doctor Who, Torchwood, Star Trek), romantic comedy(all time favorite Groundhog Day) and various annimated/Disney (Shrek, Enchanted). My music taste goes very far and very wide. ( I do not like music that is hateful toward gender/race).I like almost type of food except liver and some kinds of fish ( I hate bones). I love Mexican Food and any vegetable or fruit that is fresh out of my garden. My favorite resturant is Boma (African Food) at The Animal Kingdom Lodge in Orlando. When I have the time .... a couple hours with a large unsweet ice tea and a good book at Starbucks.

See" What am I doing with my life". Also, books I have just been reading, politics (I've just figured this one out. I am a libertarian with Democratic leanings!), the weather ( 30+ years in the plant nursery industry... what can I say? ) and some of the test I have been taking on line over the last few weeks. I know the test are not the" be all/ end all" of who I am but they do make you think. One starts to think about " Am I giving a honest answer to questions or a really honest answer to questions." I retook several of the test and reviewed several of the Match Questions. Some of my answers did change. I found myself, after being "really honest" about my answers, that I am more sexual creature than I would ever have thought. I have been thinking about doing things I want to do without guilt. I have faced this with my gender, but I need to enjoy the other things of life and not feel guilty about it. Life is to short and I an not getting any younger ......

Who knows? Maybe at home or not at home.

First it is not so private any more. I am a transgender person.
