I am a junior UNCW and am studying English. I am told by my friends and family that I am an intellectual. I have many strong interests: Philosophy, politics, history, literature, basketball, and film among other things. I am a very intuitive and self-aware person. These characteristics have served me well in my relationships and in life generally. I got most of my immaturity and stupid impulses out of my system at a relatively early age. I am very open to new experiences and have a low tolerance for dishonesty, manipulation, and drama. I am super easygoing and don't get along well with people who take themselves too seriously. I am open to meeting people of different personality types but I think I would be most compatible with a woman who is self-aware, and a thinker.

I spend some of my time taking care of my grandfather who is disabled and am a junior at UNCW. I plan on becoming a therapist or a counselor in some capacity. Or maybe a teacher.

I am an excellent writer and speaker and intend to try and put those skills to use in the career that I choose. I have a tenacious streak and have a strong ability to apply myself..

I am an avid reader and movie buff. Some of my favorite movies are The Big Lebowski, Apocalypse Now, Taxi Driver, Groundhog Day, Annie Hall, La Dolce Vita and pretty much any films made by Martin Scorsese or Woody Allen.
A few of my favorite authors are Don Delillo, Mark Twain, James Baldwin, Willa Cather and Henry Miller.
Some of my favorite books are Catcher in the Rye, Game Change, Lord of the Flies, White Noise, The Brothers Karamazov, The Sound and the Fury, anything by William James.
I listen to a wide variety of music from Jay-Z, Big L, Kanye West to The Grateful Dead, Robert Plant, Skrillex, DJ Shadow and Wu-Tang.
As far as TV is concerned I like Game of Thrones, True Blood, The Rachel Maddow Show, Seinfeld and Tosh. O.
