My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a laid back, but hard working guy who is much more interesting than this profile would suggest. I have a good sense of humor, I'm work-focused but not obsessed, enjoy trying the newest places to eat and drink in DC, hanging out with friends, reading, running and biking.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working on U.S. national security and development issues. Generally speaking, I work in the international relations field. You know, very unique for DC. Besides that running the occasional marathon or out having a good beer friends.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing...except writing about myself, lightening the mood with a good joke when needed, dancing (kind of) and choosing awesome restaurants and bars for fun dates.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm tall, and I smile a lot.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books oscillate between fiction to US politics to random nonfiction. I try to keep up with the New York Times, the Atlantic, and the New Yorker. I'm an avid fan of Mad Men and the Wire.

For movies, I like suspense, usually on the darker, political/indie side. Some of my favorites are Michael Clayton, The Descendants and Bullitt.

Music-wise I like Arcade Fire, BlackStar, Miles Davis, Chet Baker...but really anything with a good beat that I can run to.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family and friends
The New Yorker
Good food
Iced coffee
A sixth option
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Future plans, where I'd like to travel to next, what new furniture I need for my new apartment (interior design recos welcomed!), the next time I can get up to the Cape, why tourists in DC walk so slowly.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out with friends, relaxing after a long week or exploring a new restaurant in the city.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I owned the Whitney Houston Body Guard soundtrack. (Go ahead judge me)
