I ask myself "If I had it to do all over again, would I still choose the same route I chose? Would I try a different path."
I ask myself "Why did you choose the hardest possible path for yourself?"
I ask myself "Why did I choose to become a classical musician, and why did I learn to play the oddest instrument I could?"
I ask myself "Why did I want to write music that was so big and so large that it was unplayable?"
I ask myself "Why did I leave music behind to work with animals and with conservation?"
I ask myself "Why did I leave that behind to teach?"
And I answer myself "Because I am me, and I wouldn't change it for the world. Because I am intrigued by the world and by my place in it. Because I want to know everything and experience it all."
