My name's Brett, and I'm 21, originally from St. John, Indiana, and I still live there part of the year when I'm not in school. I'm a student at Indiana University in Bloomington and I really like it down here. I was a Business major for 3 years, but it wasn't right for me, so I made the switch over to general studies and it's working out great.

I'm a really easy going guy, I'm a lot of fun and a little crazy once you get to know me. I'm open to whatever comes my way, I just want to meet good people. I'm a really caring guy, and always the type to try to make things work in a relationship.

I really like to make a girl feel special, but only when I think she deserves it. I'm not shy in letting people know how I feel so if I like you, then you'll know. If you like my profile, send me a message, I'd be happy to get to know you.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

Right now I'm a student at Indiana University in Bloomington, Go Hoosiers! I'm a general studies major, mostly because I don't know exactly what kind of job I want once I graduate. Right now the plan is to go out and get a job, then go back to grad school when I know what I want to specialize in.

I'll always just take whatever the best opportunity and fit for me is, so I'm open to a lot of possibilities. I'm strongly motivated to succeed and I know that when I find what I'm meant to do, that I'll be great at it.

Singing, cooking, making a fool of myself then laughing about it, knowing the right thing to say to cheer someone up, procrastinating, arguing in good fun, being myself. I'm really musically inclined and can play a whole bunch of instruments, just ask if you wanna know which ones ;).

Most people probably notice my glasses, because I rarely take them off. I'm one of those few people who rebel against contacts, I think I look cool in glasses, and I don't like the idea of putting something into my eyes.

Another thing people notice is my facial expressions. I can never hide how I'm feeling, and people tell me my emotions are written all over my face.

Some people tell me that I look like Jemaine from Flight of the Conchords, and personality wise, I guess people notice pretty quickly that I really value honesty in myself and other people, so you will always get the truth from me.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

Music - Incubus, Foo Fighters, The Mars Volta, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flight of the Conchords, Groovatron, The Beatles, and the Beatles Across the Universe style , alternative is my favorite, but I like a huge variety of music.

Books - Anything by Kurt Vonnegut(RIP), The Mysterious Stranger by Mark Twain, Ragtime, Freakonomics, I'm starting to get into more non-fiction stuff too.

Movies - Step Brothers, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, American History X, Planet of the Apes, Fight Club, Wedding Crashers, Across the Universe, Identity, Accepted, Donnie Darko, too many great movies to list.

I love food, I love to cook, and I'm willing to try anything once. I specialize in cooking Cajun, Italian, and Mexican food, but I can whip up just about anything. I'm a fan of just about any kind of spicy food, gotta love those endorphins right?

I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit

I can be a pretty deep thinker sometimes, and I like to think about life a lot. I'm also into politics, and I'm a go to person to talk to about life or relationships. I'm convinced that I can keep a conversation going about almost anything, so if you want to talk, just let me know. :-)

I also think a lot about my future, things are pretty unsure right now, but I'm trying to stay optimistic. I'll admit the uncertainty can be a little bit scary, but for me it's more exciting. I know I'm the type of person who can do a lot of different kinds of things well. Also, if any body has any awesome career ideas they would like to throw my way, that would be great. I am currently accepting offers from anyone who would like to give me some sort of job that would pay me good money. LOL. I'm not actually expecting anyone to respond to me with a job offer, but I guess I'm the kind of person who likes to leave no stone unturned.

On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit

Usually doing whatever my friends are doing. Watching movies, hanging out, drinking, playing rock band, going to the opera or theater (super cheap on campus), singing karaoke, playing board games. Anything works as long as I'm with people I care about.
