My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Adventurous man who values humor and loyalty. Looking for someone who does not take themselves too seriously and likes to laugh. My ideal date is someone who enjoys discussing books, movies, and has a keen interest in learning. People with strong opinions excite me, I delight in seeing the world from a fresh perspective, as long as they are non-judgmental and respectful of others' beliefs. I love animals (especially my dog) and enjoys the fruits of the great outdoors. I really don't have any specific agenda set in meeting a match, I mostly want to meeting someone who shares my interests and who I have natural chemistry with. My friends and family are important to me and I want my partner to able to enjoy their company and conversely, for me to be able to enjoy their friends. I have a wide range in tastes; I can be extremely geeky and often find people are surprised that I know the intricacies of a defunct role playing game or obscure comic book series form the 80's. But on the flip side, I enjoy pretty stereotypical guy things too, like steak, fast cars, boxing and action movies.

I am quick witted, steadfast, and decisive

NOTE FROM A FRIEND -- Brett! I took the dating persona test without realizing you were logged in and made you a loverboy -- don't think that's you (but who knows?) so RETAKE IT. And LOG OUT OF YOUR SHIT on other peoples' computers :) PS I've known this dude for years and he is a fantastic guy, super loyal, tons of integrity, fascinating imagination, and hot. Date him!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Moved back from Baltimore to DC this summer. I had Drastic career change from IT to LE. I write a little on the side, but is more of a hobby than an income. I have finished a draft of a sifi nero-noir novel and I'm about a third of the way through rewrites.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Empathizing with people and getting them to talk to me, as long as I am not overwhelmingly attracted to them. Adapting to most situations, picking up new skills and generally thinking on my feet while remaining practical. I'm really good with animals and getting people to rely and trust me. Also, I like making people laugh and sometimes find myself at the center of a story telling session.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm a pretty loud guy and don't get embarrassed easily, so people often hear my voice long before they see me. My voice is distinct because I have a muddled accent, part English western midlands dialect, northern east coast American dialect and what my friends describe, endearingly, hopefully as a speech impediment.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My dog, my car, a sense of identity, a good story to watch or read, freedom to get outside and roam around and explore and my family.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Narratives I am conjuring up, possibly to write down someday. Moral dilemmas. How that TV show or book I have been rigorously following along with will end up. How to step by step accomplish my long term goals.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Anything. I might be out of town visiting someone, playing a video game, going on a bar crawl, catching a movie or show or every so often resting up.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I bought the best of Friends box set in 1999. And has always found himself attracted to his mothers friends.
