Hi, my name is Brett.
I guess I have finally decided to redo this thing, about time eh? I know it's long, and I apologize, but I would rather you know a bit about me before we start talking, so we have a basis to start a conversation on.
First off, If I viewed your profile but didn't message you don't take offence, if you are interested in me, send me a message. I respond most of the time, but please do put in more effort than a "Hey, sup?" because I really don't have much to go on there...
Now a little bit about who I am:
Friends and family are huge to me. They have helped me through so much in my life and I like to help them as much as possible. I'm a good listener; I am always trying to help my friends solve their problems. I have told friends before: "I am like Gringots, You can hide anything in your vault inside me and only you have the key." I am a very social person most of the time, and I prefer spending as much of my free time with friends as possible. Although I do have my moments where I just want to have some me time. I love animals (well most animals :P) and I have a little black kitten named Thor. And as soon as I can afford it, I am going to get myself a husky (My favourite dog).
I will give you a fair warning now, I'm not really into sports. I would much rather be playing it than watching it, however, I am not really all that great at sports. It is more just something fun to do with some friends. I have gotten more into hockey though as I have been filming the Hamilton Bulldogs games for school. The sports I do enjoy are basketball, ball hockey, badminton, field hockey, dodgeball (war), ultimate frisbee, and if I could get playing quidditch, I'd die a happy man :P Music is a love of mine, regrettably I can't play any instruments. I can play a little piano and guitar, but I never practiced so it never stuck. I will listen to basically every genre, as long as I like the sound of the song. The same goes with movies, I will watch any movie as long as it appeals to me.
In regards to school, I graduated from Mohawk College in 2011 with a certificate in Pre-Media and Entertainment. I am currently back at Mohawk in my second year of Television Broadcasting. After I graduate in 2014, I plan on attending a school for film, not sure which one yet, probably one in Toronto or in Vancouver.
Career wise, my true dream is to become an actor in films, but I know that I am not the greatest actor, so I have decided to take the technical side. I have come to love the idea of being a director and editor for film, which I hope one day I will be able to do. I recently started my own production company, Keep Breathing Studios, for my films and photography. I am starting off small as I don't have enough equipment yet, but I have already obtained a few jobs.
I am a very open person and sometimes, I can be a little bit brutally honest. For the most part I am very carefree, and don’t care what people think and say about me, but I do have my self-conscious moments. At first I may come off as a bit shy, but I think that stage of my life has come and gone. I am a very energetic person, and when I am with my friends, my inner child really comes out. Don’t be afraid though, I can be very mature when needed. I know a lot of guys get caught up on the whole how masculine a guy is ideal. Well, I can’t say that I’m 100% masculine, nor am I 100% feminine. There are things that I do that are masculine, and things that I do that are considered feminine.
I guess what you are asking now is what am I on here looking for? I am looking for friends first and foremost. I have a tendency to rush into things, so I am trying to take things slow, if we hit it off then maybe more will come of it, maybe not, who's to tell? I am not going to lie, I prefer talking online for a short time before actually meeting in person. It helps me to get to know you a bit better before we meet, allowing me to be more comfortable and "me" when we meet. I have gotten really tired of being the "active" person in the whole dating world, I don't want to have to pursue anyone anymore, I want someone to pursue me for once.
