I am usually at a loss for words when trying to describe myself, which, once you get to know me, you will find is about the only time I'm at a loss for words for anything. I, suppose that I could by saying that I enjoy having fun--and I suspect that many people, in fact, do--but that doesn't really mean anything. In all seriousness, I enjoy things which many people would probably consider to be fairly nerdy: history, politics, geography, and religion--to be just clear, when I say that enjoy religion, I mean in an academic sense, not in a "I practice religion" sense--to name a few. I enjoy learning about things. . . . Yeah, that's right, things. Anything, really, it doesn't matter. I gain an immense amount of satisfaction from learning a new fact, even if knowledge of that particular fact serves absolutely no purpose. I enjoy long, and some might say, pointless discussions on nearly any subject. I enjoy listening to and collecting (or, perhaps more accurately, hording) music, particularly obscure blues-based and progressive rock from the 1970's. I enjoy horror movies, especially ones that feature explosions of blood and gore. Things I dislike include stupidity, ignorance, and excessive neatness. A few exceptions aside, I find television to be immensely boring, and do not own cable. I used to play football in high school, but have been spent the better part of the intervening decade sitting down, and it shows. My friends and I write and produce extremely low-budget comedy/black comedy/horror movies that no one but our friends watch. Oftentimes I talk too much and do not know when to stop. Speaking of which, I now would probably be a good time end this summary. Yeah . . . now. That's be just about right.

Aside from what's implicit in the above summary (knowing stuff, talking, etc.) I make a mean pot of chili.
