My self-summary
My name is Brian, I'm a journalist, editor and writer with a deep love of movies and an ever growing love of good music, beer and sports. I'm a smart, funny guy with a lot on my mind, a lot of opinions and a mind to say them, but I'll be sure to listen as much as I tend to talk.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm working as an editor and staff writer at an Internet based talk radio show that focuses on business and IT (which, I know! how exciting! I love the real world!). But in the mean time I write for my movie blog.
I’m really good at
I'm a good writer, I'm decent at golfing and skiing, and I'm also getting better at guitar and piano.

Bonus: I'm good at stupidly dancing, air guitaring and singing at shows or just listening to music in the car.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Movies: Apocalypse Now, 2001 A Space Odyssey, Psycho, The Princess Bride, Some Like It Hot, Toy Story, to name a few of many scattered faves.

Music: The Beatles, U2, Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Simon and Garfunkel, Arcade Fire, Radiohead, Green Day, and many more.

TV: Simpsons, Seinfeld, 30 Rock, Daily Show and Colbert, Parks and Rec, Arrested Development, Boardwalk Empire, Top Gear, and have in the past have had a guilty pleasure for Chopped and So You Think You Can Dance.

Food: Yes please.
The six things I could never do without
Oh the usual, family, friends, movies, my phone and my iPod.

My contacts or glasses too. My family has shockingly bad eyesight.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Movies. Stressing over work and my life plans more than I should. Figuring out why online dating is so frustrating.
On a typical Friday night I am
I love spending an evening with friends at a bar with a good craft brew or Jack and Coke in hand. If I'm not there, I'm at the movie theater or at a concert.

Here's a few additional questions that OkCupid would never ask. Consider them by no means mandatory, but if you happen to answer yes to some or all of them, we'll have a lot in common:

Have you heard of Renoir, Kurosawa, Fellini, Godard or Bergman? Do you like silent films? Did you see Upstream Color last year? Do you the read The Dissolve?

OR

Do you like Arcade Fire, Radiohead and The National? Did you go to Lollapalooza and not go to Perry's? Do you read Pitchfork?

Otherwise, if you're looking for a person with whom you want to laugh, think, discuss and debate, or more casually, if you want a movie or concert buddy.
