I am Iconoclast, Loyal, and Energetic.

My Self-Summary

I'm outdoorsy and will do without creature comforts to travel and experience. I can cook but I'm no foodie. I'd like to think I'm not a precious 'bundle of contradictions' type -- I try to grow deeper and simpler and not shallower and more complex -- but I may stand corrected the more I run my big mouth. Love to sing and play and be around music. I'm physical for somebody who spends an awful lot of time upstairs in his own head and reads alot and gets tagged an introvert more often than not.

What I’m doing with my life

i'm going to learn something on the day I die.

I’m really good at

I don't screw around; I want to be good at everything. I really soaked up all the "if you're a ditchdigger be the best ditchdigger you can be" sentiments. What I'm really good at in an unconscious
way is academic stuff; pattern recognition, language, numbers. I'm consciously getting good at people skills, psychology, and self-discipline (which gets a bad rap).

The first things people usually notice about me

My height is 6' 3 1/4" so that explains it...and that I am an eccentric

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

books
Steppenwolf, Catcher in the Rye, Desmond Morris' work, Malcolm Gladwell, books about acting and body language, band bios, Things White People Like, Tobias Woolf, the big Russian fiction titles, fitness books (Pavel Tsatsouline, MMA training, Stu Mittleman's book), Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Bret Easton Ellis, Prep, Faulkner and Steinbeck, political punditry from both sides
movies
gummo, Sunset Boulevard, American Hitchcock, The Flamingo Kid, The Usual Suspects, Elia Kazan, Truman Show, Vanilla Sky, 8 1/2, James Dean, 28 Days Later, Fantasia, Charlie Chaplin, Brokeback Mountain, Beowulf, Network, City of God, Sin City, DeNiro and/or Scorsese, Superbad, City of Lost Children, Stanley Kubrik, Marlon Brando, The Searchers, Doubt, Spielberg, Grace Kelley, film noir, There Will Be Blood, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Mars Attacks!, American Beauty, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf
music
Queens of the Stone Age, The Faces, Amy Winehouse, Pavarotti, Phantom Planet, Metallica's early work, British Invasion, Led Zeppelin, The Strokes, Radiohead, Rhino compilations, Otis Redding/STAX, The White Stripes, Beethoven, Ray Charles, Jimi Hendrix, Nirvana
food
salads, yogurty shakes, fish, almonds, pizza, avocados, cereal

The six things I could never do without

Ye olde iPhone. Libraries. Family and friends. My health. Nature. Jokes

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Movies. Psychology. Explaining myself to
myself. How
much funnier that (commercial/news broadcast/interview/TV show, etc) would be if it were more (raunchy/foul-mouthed/irreverent, etc)
Eg -- rejected catchphrases for Flo's "kiss my grits" from the sitcom Alice
"lick my Belgian waffles" (too ethnic)
"sniff my pancakes" (too suggestive)
"screw my croissant" (too ethnic/suggestive)
"buttfuck my eggs Hollandaise" (too wordy)

On a typical Friday night I am

Rocking out on guitar or stepping out to bar/Wii night, or chilling out w/movie or reading

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

If you think about it, you already know my name. Let's leave it at that. You can run an offender search and find out all about the reckless operation on a bicycle fracas.

You should message me if

The spirit moves you
