I am intelligent, mellow, and spontaneous.
My Self-Summary
Most people would say I'm very focused and ambitious. I work hard
at everything that I do, and constantly expect more from myself
than I'm currently giving. Though I keep pretty busy, I always find
time for the people and things that are important to me. I tend to
be a pretty laid back kind of guy. I have better things to do than
deal with drama--mine, yours or anyone else's. I'd rather spend my
having new experiences--the more random, the better--with people
who add something special to my life. I'm committed to living life
to the fullest because I only get one shot to do it right. I would
have to say I'm passionate about all aspects of arts and culture. I
love theater, books, design, movies, and music. I also enjoy
cooking and often spend evenings trying new recipes, especially
those from other cultures. Which brings me to another real
passion--travel--the more spontaneous the better. The perfect guy
for me would be equally as excited about staying home to cook
dinner, cuddle up, and watch a movie with me as he would be taking
off for a last-minute weekend roadtrip. Finally, the best way to
catch my attention is to be able to carry on an intelligent
conversation. We'll get along well if you have your own
opinions--even if they differ from mine--and you are willing to
stand up for them. If there's anything else you want to know, don't
be shy, just ask. I tend to be a pretty open book.
What I’m doing with my life
For the foreseeable future, I'm the purchasing manager for a small
company in downtown San Francisco. I buy fine china and luxury
linens for hotels and restaurants in Northern California and
Hawaii. It's a great 8 to 4:30 job that leaves me plenty of time to
have a life outside of work. I'm loving life in San Francisco. I
worked really hard to make sure this is where I ended up after
college, and I can't think of anywhere I would rather be. I'm also
beginning to explore options for grad school. My dream job is to be
a college professor one day.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
...what's next. There are so many things I want to accomplish and
one life is such a short time span with which to work. I'm
constantly thinking about what I need/want to do next, so sometimes
I need someone to remind me to take time to enjoy what's happening
right now.
On a typical Friday night I am
...likely to be doing just about anything. Some nights I like to go
out full force in the Castro. Other nights I curl up on the couch
with my roommate and watch a movie. Low key is always good with me,
so dinner with friends, watching a play, grabbing a drink at a cozy
bar. I would also love to be in my car road tripping to some fun
place to spend the weekend.
