My self-summary
I am a girly girl. I like cute things, especially anime style, Disney, dressing up, playing with make-up, having pretty nails and hair, doing spa things, and shopping. I am not the type to spend lots of time on my appearance very often though, it is definitely not a daily practice.

I love nature and enjoy being outside, but I am not really sporty. I like hiking with good company. A friend and I have recently decided to try to go at least a few times a month, and ideally once a week. Anywhere I get to be around great rocks and/or trees makes me very happy. I also love being around/on wate. I enjoy doing Pilates as far as more typical exercise goes.

Personal growth is really important to me. It's a huge part of who I am. I grew up around a lot of personal growth work. I took my first workshop when I was 13. I have studied with the Human Awareness Institute (HAI), Insight Seminars, and PAX Programs. Currently I am most involved with PAX, although HAI has a big presence in my family. I am looking to find someone who has worked on themselves as well. Someone who understands the importance of self love and acceptance. Who feels like they know who they are, while also being aware that it is a never ending process and we are always getting closer to the next approximation. It is something that is important to who I am and I would like to be able to share it with my partner.

I have often been described as pragmatic, pedantic, and conscientious. And a bit too literal for my own good.

I am an artistic/ crafty person. My hobby of choice is making amigurumi (crocheted stuffed animals), I have also been breaking out into making creative scarves. I recently completed a bacon and eggs scarf for my brother and am currently working on a super mario mushroom one :)

I am a little bit nerdy. I generally just say I'm nerd friendly. I have a lot of nerdy friends. I like the comic book movies, used to read Manga, enjoy going to cons sometimes (anime expo is my current fav), and play some video games. I only really play Nintendo DS stuff. Recently I've played pokemon and animal crossing.

I would say that I am definitely a bit California hippy, new age, woo-woo. My whole family pretty much is. I have a branch down here and a branch up in the Pacific Northwest. What I mean by this is things like holistic/naturopathic health, organic food, liberal views, working with energy, and a kind of universal spirituality.

My friends call me a hippy witch because I'm spot on when I read tarot. Despite the universe's gift, though, I'm pretty down to earth, logical and easygoing.
What I’m doing with my life
As far as work, right now I am an Esthetician at a Spa. (that means I work on peoples skin)

I am a practitioner in training of the Anat Baniel Method. I am 4/ 10th done with a 2 year program. So I'm more or less in school again.
Basically I'm learning to give neuromovement lessons. The technique uses movement and the skeleton to wake up and work with the brain. anatbanielmethod.com can tell you more :) I'm happy to talk about it more in person.
The first things people usually notice about me
Everyone always tells me I look better in person then in my pictures.
Obviously I need better pictures. It's on the todo list :p
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I love to read. I like all kinds of things. I often I end up reading some kind of silly romance novel these days. Nothing beats romance novels for mindless relaxation. I think 50 shades was my last, that was fun :). Some authors I enjoy: Oscar Wilde, Orson Scott Card, Anne Rice, Jodi Picolt, Jean Auel

Movies: Disney! (not everything but to many to list, both animated and live action), Importance of Being Ernest (also LOVE the play), Clueless, Saved!, Center Stage, The Triumph of Love, Secretary, Princess Bride, Iron Man, Avengers, gosh so many.... in case you couldnt tell I like chick flicks, rom-com and comic book movies (I have a lot of nerdy friends).

TV: I am watching so many right now.......HIMYM, New Girl, 2 Broke Girls, B in Apt 23, Once, Go On, Subergatory, Game of Thrones, Bones, Castle, True Blood, Mentalist, White Collar, Leverage, Archer, I love The Voice and So You Think You Can Dance......I'm sure I'm forgetting something....
As for past shows: Boston Legal, Firefly, Scrubs, House, Gilmore Girls (mostly the earlier seasons),

Music: MUSE, Metric, Maroon 5 (a lot of M's apparently), Rise Against, Offspring, Cold Play, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, lots of other stuff depending on my mood. I have friends that make me awesome mixes. I tend to listen to 98.7 and 104.3 the most in my car with 106.7 coming in 3rd, if that means anything to you :P

Food: Dessert is one of my weaknesses. I am pretty much always down for dessert. I love cheese and meat so things like steak and bbq (both american and other cultures) are always good. I also love pasta and Japanese food (including but not limited to sushi. Sushi is really yummy though), good deli is important (sometimes ya gotta have your Jew food, you know?) Just nothing spicy!

The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Someday I'd like to get married and have a family. Finding the right person is the most important part though and I'm not interested in rushing anything.
I’m looking for
  • Guys who like girls
  • Ages 28–38
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
If quick match says we like each other.
If I rated you well, it's because you genuinely seemed like a cool person. So say hi, a first message doesn't have to be complicated or really long for me to reply. Honestly, short and to the point works well with me.

If you live further than 30 minutes from Melrose and La Brea or West Hollywood I wish you luck, but dating you won't work for me.
