According to this site, I'm also 'worse mannered' than average but to HELL with that am I right?

First and foremost I like people that don't take themselves too seriously and aren't afraid of looking stupid now and again. My favorite kind of person is the one who doesn't let their intelligence or experience get in the way of their humility or distance them from other human beings: smart people who can still laugh at themselves and with others.

I also approach most new relationships of any kind without any particular goal or plan in mind; to me, trying to shoot for something specific gets in the way of whatever type of relationship would have developed organically.

Oh, can someone tell me if making It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia jokes is way out of style on these sites? Tell me before I list "milksteak" under favorite foods, don't want to look like I'm streets behind. Ha haaa REFERENCES
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Who ever has a response to that question? Answer: ME apparently because there's more content beneath this sentence.

In the literal sense, I'm working as a psychology researcher at a university. Cognitive psych, if that means anything to you, with dashes of neuropsych. It's pretty cool.

In the more abstract sense, I have no idea! If I tell you that I do I am most certainly lying, or maybe Future-Brinque has his shit together? Go, Future-Brinque! It's all up to you, buddy!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm told I'm a good listener? But that's boring! Let's get to the snowboarding and jet skiing!

...okay, bluff called! I broke my hand the first and only time I snowboarded and I have never even seen a jet ski in real life. I'm good at snappy pop-culture references! What are you, my biographer?

Oh! In case you ARE my biographer, note that I am good at pull-ups. Not in a braggy/arrogant way, I just have the exact right body type for it.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I talk quickly but only in short bursts. Also I apparently don't move my mouth very much when I talk.

I have great hair!

I have weird alien hands that can bend backwards way more than the normal people's do, and my thumbs can bend backwards at the joint to a full 90 degrees. LOOK AT ME I'M A MONSTEEEEER
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I am a ravenous consumer of media.

Read that line again, for emphasis. It's important. I will wait.

...done? Cool. Carry on.

Books: Voracious reader, current favorite author is Haruki Murakami (contemporary fiction) even though he only knows how to write about four different types of characters. Looking at the shelf next to me I apparently like me some old school science fiction in Gibson and Heinlein, so I guess I have that! George Saunders and Italo Calvino feature prominently as well. That's all fiction but I tend to binge on nonfiction as well, in particular I love being able to geek out about the psych books I pick up whenever possible.

Music: Wide taste in music but I tend to go through phases, but regardless of said phases I love love love The Mountain Goats at all times. I'm also a big fan of musicals of both stage and film. I have an ever-present shameless love of radio pop as well, fair warning. Yes it is terrible, but yes it is SO MUCH FUN.

TV: In terms of shows I lean towards comedy. Parks and Rec, Community, Archer, It's Always Sunny, Arrested Development, Venture Bros...beyond that, big huge Doctor Who fan! Joss Whedon shows too. I watch a lot of TV, many shows are not listed as I cannot remember them at this immediate moment.

Movies: Yes.

Food: No.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Just six? I don't know...'oxygen' is probably up there? Stable internet connection right after that.

Coffee coffee coffee
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
People! I love looking at little quirks, behaviors, and relationships they have.

Stories, tropes, things of that nature.

Oh, and clothes. I think about clothes. Is that weird? My mind wanders
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Out and about! Rallying people to go out and do things!

If not that, I'm at home reading or binging on whatever TV series recently came on Netflix or whatever game I'm invested in. Really, I have two extremes and not much in between. Either 100% social or 100% hermit, flip a coin.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I once hit a hummingbird on my bike. I thought those things were supposed to be fast?

...that's probably not the kind of answer it was asking for huh? Well whatever.

Additionally, if you have short hair I will probably like you. Just how it is.
