My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm going to keep this summary short, because I know that long versions will never be read anyway!

If you do happen to want me to expound, feel free to ask! I am more than willing to avoid - and talk around - topics like my own self!

The worst thing, of course, that can happen is that I won't reply... which is of course not because of you but me, really! Though, I don't know why it's me, but anyway, I'll take the blame, I'm very good at being a scapegoat so we can just use that talent to its extremes ^_^

Ok, enough chatter, who am I (assumingly the right topic of a self-summary, right)? I am a communication-science-student (thus, I study the things that makes the world go around; aka 'communcation between people') at Wageningen University.
I've finished that Master of Sciences and am now doing another Master of Sciences in Stockholm (in sustainable development). Some people just don't know when to stop...

In fact, I'll never stop being an academic, I am hoping. A PHD is the least of my dreams for the future, and becoming a professor with a pointy hat and long white beard is absolutely my desired end-station.

Not a very promising career move as it will not bring in the big money, but if my calculations are correct (which they always are) I'm likely to go abroad very often once I'm a scientist, and I'll have access to the university's library for ever, which is better than having lots of money anyway!

I'm sure this will happen...

Who am I, besides that? I'm anti-typical compared to the average student:
a) I do not drink (a lot, only occasionally)
b) I do not go out (a lot, only occasionally, I prefer spending a night talking or watching a good movie)
c) I am very active (I am no couch potato, I hate laziness and want to do stuff that exhausts me to death and beyond)
d) I like to learn stuff (I do not mind going to college, but I am bored very quickly, so after two hours of lecture I will absorb nothing any more, I need practical education such as projects... )
e) On top of all that: I am original, energetic, and restless.

If you're still not scared, bored or frustrated with me after
reading all this (and didn't cheat by scrolling down without reading it...), you should definitely send me a message!

You might possibly be just as unique as I am!

Then we might be able to have a decent conversation... or something resembling it! You never know...
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I completed a Masters degree at the University of Wageningen...
I am working on a Masters degree at the Stockholm University
It is called 'Social-ecological Resilience and Sustainable Development'
Bless you. Thank you. Sounds exciting, huh?

Did I mention I am a workoholic? And caffeine-addicted. Smashing combination, that is!

Other stuff I am doing with my life:
Planning to go on a holiday. A long one, very long one indeed
Unfortunately, budgetary restrictions keep coming up!
Fortunately, planning is free! So I plan the hell out of it!

Any suggestions are always welcome though!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm 'reasonably' good at drawing and painting (I put that between exclamation marks to illustrate the amateur level of 'being good at'. Thus, compared to an average person, I'm quite good, but compared to Picassian geniuses I'm beyond hope)

Uhm... other things... lets see... finding some spark of interest
in topics. I can get animated by almost any field and topic.
Geography, physics, chemistry, psychology (big issue for me!)
sociology, history, philosophy (another big one) you name it, I can be interested.

One thing that is consistent though, I am always (nearly always, that is, I don't want to be tied to this) playing the devil's advocate. It can be tiring, but someone has to do the dirty work, right!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
First things people notice about me are... my glasses. Because they're always almost falling off, and my hair, because I use it to hide behind.
You'd think I have a shyness issue. I don't, I'm Dutch, I have bluntness issues.

Other things that people notice about me are apparently so horrible that they have not yet dared tell me about it...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Fav books: all books giving insight into human behaviour and social psychology, communication, sociology and philosophy

And I basically love ALL books that starr Vikings. Such as the Robert Low series, strongbow sagas, Longships...

I love all books of Bernard Cornwell. Sharpe!!!

Fav movies: Gladiator, and... MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL!!! And... I am not much of a movie-person. Don't have the patience to sit out a complete movie, so I know a lot of first halves of movies...

TV-series: House, Dexter, Lie to me, Blackadder

Fav music: Folk metal, metal, folk

Fav food: bread.Yes primitive, but I just love the stuff... with a bit of butter and then some, that's enough for me! Because of the pitiful lack of good bread in Sweden, I have turned to knackebrod, though. And now I'm fanatic about that. Still with butter... or cream cheese. I'm in danger of becoming a Burgundian, I think... such extravagance and luxury...

... and Coffee, which is a substance I idolize. The world would stop existing without it. It is the black gold of the present, and I worship it before drinking!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1 My cognition and consciousness
2 Travelling (served with coffee)
3 Bread (and some coffee, occasionally)
4 People to occasionally be with, and occasionally be without (and coffee during both occasions)
5 Freedom (which actually tastes best while drinking a cup of coffee)
6 My imagination (one of the few things I'd consider trading coffee for)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time thinking about...

meta-thoughts all around.

Yes, strange, but so is the fact that humans think. So basically, that's a subject to think about, the thinking process. Because other beings do not think the way we do, but perhaps partly so. We cannot know, but I am very curious about it, and... well, I could go on for hours... If you can too, message me!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
This used to be a place where I'd sum up completely ridiculous and utter nonsense, but no more. Typically on a Friday night I am at the same place where I was very late in the afternoon of that same Friday, after coming home from work/school.
Probably lounging on my bed, which I use as a couch, and which provides an excellent support for my e-reader and knackebrod.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I... am blonde?
not just hair-dyed, I'm actually truely somewhat blonde...
Although I'm still in denial! Besides, every now and then I identify a red hair, so I'm not really blonde at all!
You should message me if
