My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
How does one even start something like this? Here's a bit from my FB page...

"A strange mixture of paradox and parody. Handel and The Ting Tings. Ballet and Cartoon Network. Prada and Target. Gothic, preppy, hippie, chic. Narrow misses and broad strokes. Fine China and broken pottery. Macabre princess sitting among the truth and sorrow of generational confusion. Fate and free-will fighting to change just one life for the better. Follower-leader. Creative brilliance, devastating trauma. Spirit led. Mystic, prophet, seer, social reformist. Modern gothic, tortured poet. Happy, in a melancholic sort of way. Lover, fighter, sage and child. Quietly forming words to realize freedom. Quietly changing. I am... that's all."

I have a love-hate relationship with New York City. I love Gluten-free cooking. I could spend hours at the MET staring at Jules Bastien-Lepage's Joan of Arc. I have never worn a pair of ice-skates, but I'd be willing to try, if someone held my hand the whole time. I've seen almost every version of Alice in Wonderland ever filmed. I'm a complete nerd-girl/ fan-girl of most things geeky and wonderful. I DO NOT like puppets. I love other peoples children.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm living in my tiny hometown in Texas, after eight years in NYC. I'm working as an aide in preschool and rediscovering my love for theatre and music.

Life is slow here, and that has allowed me to reawaken my spiritual side in surprising ways. I'm not sure where my journey is taking me, but the adventure is exciting.

In other news: I read voraciously, dabble in decoupage, and spend a lot of time wandering around outdoors. I'm a writer as well, but journaling and poetry is all I have time for at present. The novel will get finished one day...
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
writing, singing, acting, cooking, organization, dreaming, reading people, spirit walks, decoupage, cuddling, swimming, pop psychology, imagining, meditation, reading, Netflix marathons, creative travel, algebra, being nerdy
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My grey streaked hair and grey eyes. My smile. My moodiness. My voice. My gentle spirit.

I guess... most people don't really TELL you the first thing they noticed about you, so I can't REALLY know.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Love... my cats (2 for 1)... large bodies of water... spirit walks with my best friend... my nieces... chocolate...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything... my mind never shuts off.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Honestly? In bed watching Netflix on my computer! I'm usually exhausted by the end if the week, and just need to decompress.

But, as far as leisure activities go, I like eating out, movies, live theatre, bookstores, art museums, gallery hopping, shopping, taking walks, long drives, cigar lounges, and quiet get togethers with good friends and good conversation.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm really, really (sick-in-the-stomach-almost-paralized) afraid of puppets... it gets worse the older I get; I can't even watch the muppets anymore.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're intelligent (not just book smart, but someone with varied interests.) You love to wonder about the universe, break the status quo in a way that is still respectful, and dance in the kitchen while you wash dishes.

Artists, dreamers, creatives, inventors, and nerds welcome.

I honestly don't care about "down-to-earth" or "laid-back"... what do those terms even mean? Just be you, as beautifully and brilliantly as you can.

And if you're allergic to animals this isn't going to work... cause I have cats, and live with dogs as well...
