My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
How does one even start something like this? Here's a bit from my FB page...

"A strange mixture of paradox and parody. Handel and The Ting Tings. Ballet and Cartoon Network. Prada and Target. Gothic, preppy, hippie, chic. Narrow misses and broad strokes. Fine China and broken pottery. Macabre princess sitting among the truth and sorrow of generational confusion. Fate and free-will fighting to change just one life for the better. Follower-leader. Creative brilliance, devastating trauma. Spirit led. Mystic, prophet, seer, social reformist. Modern gothic, tortured poet. Happy, in a melancholic sort of way. Lover, fighter, sage and child. Quietly forming words to realize freedom. Quietly changing. I am... that's all."

I have a love-hate relationship with New York City. I love Gluten-free cooking. I could spend hours at the MET staring at Jules Bastien-Lepage's Joan of Arc. I have never worn a pair of ice-skates, but I'd be willing to try, if someone held my hand the whole time. I've seen almost every version of Alice in Wonderland ever filmed. I'll tell you more later...

I am mysterious, quirky, and artistic
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work at a wonderful little bakery right now. It's fun and sometimes stressful, but it makes people happy, and that's always nice.

I'm writing a novel... it's a complicated fantasy, so don't ask me to describe it, because that is virtually impossible. I'm also a poet, who believes that poetry should be free, so I post all of mine on my webpage... Ask, and mybe I'll send you that way, as long as I know you aren't a crazy stalker... A girl can't be too careful.

I sing constantly... I'm currently woking on building my classical repertoire, after focusing solely on Musical Theatre for many years. I hope to start my own Theatre Company someday.

I read voraciously, dabble in decoupage, and spend a lot of time wandering around the city...

Also, I'm moving to Texas in the fall... so working on preparing for that as well.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
writing, singing, acting, cooking, organization, dreaming, reading people, 3 mile walks, decoupage, cuddling, swimming, pop psychology
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My hair and grey eyes. My smile. My moodiness. My voice. My gentle spirit.

I guess... most people don't really TELL you the first thing they noticed about you, so I can't REALLY know.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Love... my cats (2 for 1)... large bodies of water... spirit walks with my best friend... my nieces... chocolate...
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Everything... my mind never shuts off.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Working... My "Friday night" is usually on Tuesday or Thursday!

Anyway...

I love art museums, movies, book stores and laid back bars or pubs. Parties are good sometimes, if they aren't too crazy. I love to have fun, and fun for me is relaxed, lots of laughs, and NO DRAMA. I'm also just as likely to spend a night off at home in PJ's with a good movie or book, or cooking dinner and playing cards or dominoes with my roommates and close friends.

I love to go out to eat as well, but only to gluten-free, or gluten-free friendly places. I can't risk getting sick!

If I'm at home past 8 pm with no previous plans, then it's very unlikely you'll get me back out... I'm a homebody who likes to be cozy!!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm really, really (sick-in-the-stomach-almost-paralized) afraid of puppets... it gets worse the older I get; I can't even watch the muppets anymore.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You're intelligent (not just book smart, but someone with varied interests.) You love to wonder about the universe, break the status quo in a way that is still respectful, and dance in the kitchen while you wash dishes. You don't have to be an artistic type, but it will probably help us to connect... and guys who sing/ girls who dance (really dance) are always a plus plus.

I honestly don't care about "down-to-earth" or "laid-back"... what do those terms even mean? Just be you, as beautifully and brilliantly as you can.

And if you're allergic to animals this isn't going to work... cause I have cats, and live with dogs as well...
