Tonight I'm seeing Jane Goodall Live, a movie event at the AMC Livonia. I'm crazy for documentaries, and she's led a fascinating life and done remarkable work. She'll be doing a simulcast Q&A after the biography movie.

Friday I'm seeing Tim Minchin live. He's a musical comedian, very firmly on the side of scientific skepticism and secular humanism. In the most joyful way! That's my favorite part. I do a lot of reading of skeptic stuff, and he's well-known in those circles, but I have no idea how famous he is in the general public. He's an Aussie by birth, and I suspect he's at least pretty well-known there. Hopefully his North American tour will take the rest of us by storm. ("Storm"... that's kind of an inside joke.
