I am Quirky, Smart, and Groovilicious.

My Self-Summary

"Man Seeks Woman-Must be interested in film, breathing oxygen and converting protein intake into muscle energy."

Well hello there, I'm a 25 year old student currently on my placement year in the fun filled world of Leamington Spa. Id say I'm a good, honest guy(Doesn't everyone say this? gawd how to fail at being original!) Really though you'll get none of this 'wait 3 days' nonsense or silly head games from me, I dont see the point if you like someone, you like them. I'm also Pretty sure I'm rather quirky and fun to be around, though I do like the occasional serious/thought provoking convo from time to time-typically about something perculiar no doubt.

I'm also going to add here that I'm something of a contradiction in that I'm fascinated by the paranormal, yet am also equally very interested in science, technology(dont let me loose in a gadget shop!) and innovation in general. Bring on the futuristic flying ghost hoverboards ;). I can at times be majorly imaginative, creative and at other times be very thinky/logical. The best of both worlds me thinks.

I'm at that stage now that I'm on the look out for my someone and something special in life. Really I am! I'm not interested in just 'a bit of fun', so it'd be kinda cool to find that someone or something special perhaps on here! Ok so thats me in a nutshell...actually this would be me in a nutshell 'Help help, how did I get in here, I'm in a nutshell!'...cookie to the person who gets the film reference.

P.S. If I've viewed you, and not sent a message, its not neccesarily because I'm not interested. Its probably more likely the case of having 'The Fear' set in, or possibly I've been side tracked, or some sort of mad combination of The Fear and side trackage(Quite possibly the boss at work going 'what are you doing?' Me-'mmm nothing'.) Who knows! Long story short, if I've viewed ya and you reckon we'd get on then feel free messagerise me(that is message and not massagerise :p.)

What I’m doing with my life

I'm studying a computer animation degree at LJMU(its in liverpool, but living in leamington spa for a year on my work placement-and don't worry I dont have the dreaded accent. I'm originally from a certain Island in the British Isles.)

I'm something of a mature student, because a lot of the good jobs require a shiny(or just regular) piece of paper that says 'Im amazing, because I got a degree', so ultimately hoping to finish my degree, and end up with a career that makes me happy.

The first things people usually notice about me

My eyes, and funky beard. And perhaps my smile...though someone once said I smile like the Joker...didn't really take that as a compliment :/

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Favourite Books-
A Song of Ice and Fire series, The Nightwatch series, Deathstalker series of books, Lord of the Rings, anything by Robert Ranking or Terry Pratchett and absolutely love the Necroscope series of books by Brian Lumley(really he trounces over Anne Rice and that Twilight stuff :p) oh, I'm also very pro Richard Dawkins sooooo if your majorly religious we're probably not going to see eye to eye :/.(See my think about box below for further clarification.)

Favourite Movies-
Blade Runner, Watchmen, District 9, Alien films(all), Terminator, Hellboy, Austin Powers, Old Boy, Battle Royale, Matrix, Labryinth(what kind of magic spells, you use :p),Spirited away, Hellsing, Dune, Zoolander, The holy grail, The meaning of life, Hitch hikers guide to the galaxy, Sin City, Kill Bill, Final fantasy:Advent Children, George Romero movies, Evil dead trilogy, Big trouble in little china, The Thing, Flash Gordon, True Romance, Let the Right one in and so on. I also like a number of anime movies/series. Rather a lot of favourite films really :)

Favourite Music:
Gary Numan(seriously, his music is amazing!), Muse, Robots in Disguise, IAMX, Kings of Leon, HIM, Ade Fenton, The Prodigy, The Cure, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Kings of Leon, Garbage and a few other odds & ends.

TV/Comedy-Programmes:
Farscape, Buffy, Angel, Firefly, Supernatural, Red Dwarf, Lexx (you get bonus points for even knowing what lexx is, let alone liking it too!) Alias, Dead Like me, Doctor Who, Torchwood,Peep Show, Spaced, The Mighty Boosh, Family Guy and Futurama.

Food: Roast Dinners and Indian meals(not combined obviously because that would be slightly weird!)

Drink: Baileys(drink it from a shoe), Cider, Ice Cream Milkshakes, and good ole Tea.

The six things I could never do without

Friends
Family
Music
Books
Film
and errrr mmm...Toast.

I figured i'd throw toast in randomly for no real valid reason.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Religion-despite the fact I don't believe in any of it. I hope I don't cause any offence with this, but isn't it all just a form of indoctrination? Would you still be a christian if you were born in Iraq for example? If I was a devout christian, had a car accident, damaged my brain and became a serial killer would I go to hell? What if I was raised a cannibal in the rain forest and it was perfectly natural for me to eat people? A (in most cases)eternal reward/punishment system based on a good run, maybe 80-90 years of life? Did your family and environment you were raised in allow you to make a informed, non bias choice on whether you were raised a muslim, shinto, catholic, protestant, jew etc? And what about the dinosaurs hey??? They're never mentioned in anything religious ever!

On the flip side, I'm not a total atheist either-I do believe that there is something more to life then that we just live and die, with blackness at the end. I just prefer to follow my own moral compass and not let written works & religious institutions influence my life style.

On a typical Friday night I am

Ok honestly right now? Not a lot seeing as I've only been in leamington spa for a couple of months now and only really know my housemates :/. Usually, when I actually have some people to hang out with, either out at a bar/pub or cinema or just generally out, musing on life.

Also quite like some nights in with a few ps3 games(don't worry I'm not on them 24/7 but they're a big interest of mine), movies and some good company.

You should message me if

You'd like to get to know me. I can bribe you with cookies...and maybe ice cream milkshakes. Actually this sounds rather creepy doesnt it? enticing people to message me with cookies and ice cream milkshakes :/...I should think this through really.
