My self-summary
Just a smart, creative, somewhat sane guy that loves to laugh (mostly at himself), looking to meet another smart, creative somewhat sane guy that loves to laugh too.

Intelligent conversations are a big turn on. The ability to debate Chinese currency manipulation isn't required but an interest in engaging in adult conversation really helps.

I recently moved back to the Dwntwn Brooklyn/Boerum Hill area.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm living it.

After a career as a public relations consultant and media spokesperson for politicians and progressive nonprofits, I now run a tech (SaaS) startup.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: This is a hard one. The Reign/Rise of Napoleon Bonaparte (2 volume set. bio but reads like a novel), Steve Jobs (pure inspiration. kind of a slimeball but his genius can't be denied), Tony Blair's A Journey (probably the best autobio from a political leader that I've read in awhile)

Food: I love cooking and discovering new foods. Anything with unusual flavor profiles and combinations.

TV: Bravo reality TV (Oh, the shame.)
The six things I could never do without
Well, if I take this question literally then the answer would be oxygen. But no one likes a Smart Alec. So, here goes...

1. My lovable doggie, Hugo.

2. My "Weekender" subscription to the NY Times

3. The whacky cast of characters that I call my friends and family

4. Music: Mumford & Sons, Mary J Blige, BitterSweet, Dylan, Tim McGraw (What can I say, I was raised in Alabama), The Police, Nina Simone, Chaka K and way too many more to mention.

5. Books. I'm a huge fan of political bios and cookbooks. Seriously, it's an addiction

6. My appreciation of and zest for life
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Lately I've been thinking of something clever to write in my OkCupid profile.
On a typical Friday night I am
Out with friends. Or cooking at home for my friends. Or cooking for myself & hanging with my doggie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm not falling for this one.
I’m looking for

You should message me if
If you wanna say hello OR...

If you work for a government agency that's tasked with finding inheritors of estates from long lost and never heard of deceased relatives. "Seriously? I had a Siberian 10th cousin that left me a controlling stake in a family oil refinery? Cool. Could I put it on Ebay?"
