I am don't think, twice, and it's alright.

My Self-Summary

I seem to be missing that filter between my brain and my mouth that approves certain things to be said and just lets them all through. I'm your typical yet atypical computer geek. I have a love for all things tech and I am a gamer, but I like to expand my horizons beyond my Xbox.

Tattoos and piercings are a big part of who I am. To most people I've got a lot of them, but I feel inadequately covered. I plan to get plenty more tattoos, but I'm happy with the 4 piercings I have left.

I am an avid movie watcher/collector. I watch plenty and tend to have one on in the background most of the time when I'm home.

Over the past year I've fallen pretty hard into biking and photography. I like to do time lapse photography but am looking for some new inspiration.

Random fact: I don't care for umbrellas. It doesn't matter how hard it's raining, I'm going to get wet regardless. I'd rather stroll along and take it than battle the wind for a $2 umbrella while still getting wet. I also need to keep my hands free to block other umbrella's from stabbing me in the eye. They are at the perfect level for everyone else to do just that.

I'm a dog person that somehow ended up with two cats. I was going to get one, but I figured one would destroy my stuff 100% of the time. If I got two, then they would play with each other 50% of the time and only destroy my stuff the other 50%. Well my math backfired because two cats do twice the damage in half the time.

What I’m doing with my life

I work for an IT company downtown. We work mostly with architecture firms and art galleries. Recently we've been getting into a lot of media related stuff. Chances are if you watch tv you get to see some of our work in action.

When not working it's a mix of hanging with friends, riding my bike around Brooklyn, hanging out at home, and fixing friends' computers.

I'm a pretty laid back kind of guy that just rolls with what is going on around him. I don't like to make plans too far in advance, I like to see where I end up at the end of the day.

I’m really good at

Working on computers, making people laugh, not getting hit by cars while riding my bike at night. I like to tell stories as I can't seem to leave my apartment without something story worthy happening. I'd like to think I'm good at it.

"If you're good at something, never do it for free." I shoulda learned this long ago ;)

The first things people usually notice about me

That I'm tall, that I have big holes in my ears, my eyes, my tattoos? I don't really know. I do know it's really annoying when total strangers try to put their finger though the holes in my ears without saying anything. I like to think I'm approachable but really people... say something first.

If you look over yonder... ------------------------>
Please take note that I take great pride in being nothing like those guys. ;)

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Choke, Lullaby, Invisible Monsters, American Psycho. Last book I read was The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I think I had better writing skills when I was in 3rd grade but I'm looking forward to the movie. Currently reading Hell's Angels by Hunter S. Thompson.

I've only gotten back into reading over the last couple years. Chuck Palahniuk is probably my fav author. Hunter S. Thompson is quickly overtaking him.

There are so many movies I feel bad trying to even list any. I'm currently watching The Life Aquatic as I'm writing this. Battle Royale, Watchmen, 28 Days Later, Black Snake Moan, Drag Me to Hell, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Fall, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Fido, Finding Nemo, Haute Tension, Little Miss Sunshine, Martyers, Moon, Observe and Report, Open Season (I have a thing for animals with anthropomorphic qualities.), Requiem for a Dream, Shaun of the Dead, There Will Be Blood,Thank You for Smoking, The Machinist, Very Bad Things, Walk The Line, Wall-E, and many many more. I love the Star Wars movies. I can't really pick a favorite, it's like a parent trying to pick their favorite kid... Sure I like some more than the others, but I love em all ;) Zombieland pretty much kills everything else out there right now.

For music, much like pretty much everyone you run into I listen to just about everything. Deftones are my fav band, followed pretty closely by Weezer. I listen to everyting from Slayer to Sigur Ros to Kanye West to Johnny Cash. Recently I've been listening to Assjack a lot. Hank III... where have you been all my life?

For TV, Nip/Tuck, Dexter, Rescue Me, Sons of Anarchy, True Blood (I know... I got suckered in), ATHF, Metalocalypse, Mythbusters. I've been wanting to get into Mad Men as I hear great things about it, just haven't been able to find a good copy of the first season to get me started.

Favorite food would be Italian and Mexican. I'm a pretty simple eater, I eat what I like and try new things if they look appetizing. The closest thing I have to a religion is bacon.

The six things I could never do without

1. Computer

2. Phone (I don't really talk on the phone, but I text and use it for other interesting things.)

3. Bike

4. Comfy clothes (I don't really understand fashion, I just wear what's comfortable and has enough pockets to carry what I need)

5. Cameras

6. Good friends (Where would we be without them?)

6.5. Bacon mmmmmmm bacon.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

what it would be like to have a 36 hour day. I tend to sacrifice sleep to have enough time for work and free time. Sleep when I'm dead. Trying to think of something new to do creatively. I want to build something. I don't know what, but whatever it is probably can't be done in my apartment.

When the zombie apocalypse comes, am I a shotgun guy or a baseball bat guy? Would they call me Brooklyn or Detroit?

On a typical Friday night I am

There is no typical Friday night for me. I can either head out with friends, hang out at home, or hang out at home until I hang out with friends. I could be working fiendishly on some new project that I'm obsessed with or out dressed up as Batman protecting the city.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I don't really keep anything private. I'm an open book for better or worse. Something most people don't know about me is I wasn't born with the last name I have now. Witness protection program? Hippie parents? Perhaps I'll tell ya.

You should message me if

You want to send me a message, if you think we'd get along, if you can be around other people without answering text messages every 30 seconds. If you think geeks are sexy and don't need to get shitfaced most nights of the week.
