I was married, now I'm divorced with 2 daughters, 9 and 4. Sometimes divorce is the right thing to do. If it matters to you, we get along, but not in a creepy way. In the way where we love the 2 awesome daughters.
This means I'm a mom and I have an ex. Jeepers. When did all of that maturity come along?
I am also a woman. I think I'm mostly awesome with some nice flaws thrown in to keep it all real. I do my best by my girls, my friends and the people I love. I screw up sometimes, but I'm pretty good and own up to bullshit when I'm called on it.
I mentioned that I'm a woman, true. I take care of myself. Physical exercise is important to me. It keeps me balanced. I'm pretty serious about Bikram Yoga and this past summer I learned how to surf. I love both of these activities for spiritual, mental, physical reasons, and mainly I have learned that moving my body and being outside are deeply important to my inner peace. You can find me in Costa Rica this November for seasonal surfing. You will also find me having an ice cold beer after Bikram because that is the most delicious beer in the world.
I'm the kind of woman who loves her girlfriends, but also loves the company of men. I like to do things and not just talk endlessly about them. I'm not the kind of woman, for instance, who can just go shopping for hours and hours and hours. I know what I want--and I go out and get it. I am also a fan of some womanly pampering and spa-ing, if that's a verb:)
This could also be related to having my own business. I tend to be a problem solver, getting things done, and I love it. I'm good at what I do, invested and passionate about succeeding. It means I have my own money and ambition. It also means I have some freedom that I treasure. The ability to make decisions about my schedule and choices is invaluable to me.
I sometimes swear like a trucker, drink whiskey like an Irishman, and do a pretty great rendition of the Weezer/Radiohead/Metallica playbooks for karaoke. Other times, I fit in well at a Christie's auction and have dined more than once at Daniel Boloud's various restaurants and been moved by gastronomique delight. I also love a good cheeseburger.
There's nothing I don't find interest in, and I'm pretty sure that's not overstatement.
