Have trouble meeting people because I have really high standards and a relatively reclusive lifestyle, so I'd like to find some friends, I've seen some very cool people on OKC before, now I hope to get to know them.

(I had a profile for dating before, but I got really tired of trying to decide if I liked someone after a few dates. It felt like a lot of pressure. I also got tired of being matched with people who match me on being say, poly and kinky, but don't connect on anything I care about.
Essentially, I want to make friends who I have a strong connection with, if we get crushes on each other after several weeks or months that is great, but I'm not looking just to hook up with the first poly dude who has an opinion on Game of Thrones.
(I also want the chance to get to know people on OKC who I may adore but dates are off the table because they are a straight lady, gay dude, in a monogamous relationship, not looking to date, etc.))

I love smart people but I hate smart assholes. Being an intellectual doesn't give you an excuse to not be a decent person.

And look, fellas, here's the deal. If you don't meet the standards I use for my amazing and socially conscientiousness female friends, I will neither friend you nor date you. I hate double standards and so I refuse to have men in my life who are below my standards for decent-person material.
