Hey Everyone! My names Derek. I am a pretty laid back person. I am definitely not the jealous type. I hate drama. Life is too short. I am a fairly trusting person. I feel that I can be trusted. I try not to sweat the small stuff. I have morals. I get a long with most people. I dont get a long with "tough" guys..there's no need to be a jerk to people. I don't go to bars to pick up girls. I love the outdoors. I like mountain biking, hiking, watersports, boating, etc. I also love basketball (playing and watching). I'm a huge Detroit Pistons fan. I golf. One of my main desires in life is to travel the world and have a heck of a time doing it.

I am currently working in Novi at my first real job out of college (since May 07). I am working in the field of international logistics. I'm hoping to go back to school soon to get my Masters.

Books: Psychological Thrillers & Mystery genre. I was a big fan of Dennis Lethane's Shutter Island, which is actually being made into a movie in 2009.

Music: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Keane, Jack's Mannequin, Weezer, The Killers, The Beatles, George Harrison, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Metallica, some hip hop and some country too!

Movies: The Count of Monte Cristo, Zoolander, Office Space, SpaceBalls, Forest Gump, The Shining..

Food: Anything that tastes good. Im a big fan of Italian, Mexican, Chinese, and Greek food.
