My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I think queer politics do not begin and end with marriage and the military. I know in my heart that this season of Project Runway was the worst season ever. Sometimes I really miss sincerity. Most of the time my generation's sense of alienation and general investment in irony makes sincerity difficult. Sometimes I share too much. Sometimes I don't share anything. Other times I recede from the world until I feel safe again. I like cuddling, reading poetry, being pretentious and making fun of our pretentiousness. No matter what, a well-groomed beard always turns me on.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Watching bad 90's tv, the beach, making fun of "masc 4 masc" troglodytes, George Costanza & Dorothy Zbornak & Dana Scully, reading the poststructuralists for shit & giggles, trolling tumblr till 3am, pretending I'm an adult.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Writing, cooking, jerking off.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm a terrorist.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

The god of small things, by night in chile, the satanic verses, one hundred years of solitude, disgrace, blindness. Anything by Ahmad, Butler, Derrida, Foucault, Santner, Zizek.

Lots of indie films, plus anything by Truffaut, Malle, Von Trier, Breillat, Denis, Hitchcock, etc. also, it's not all high-falutin: I watch an incredible amount of "bad films" that I would be too embarrassed to list here.

30 Rock, Parks & Recreation, True Blood, SNL, Seinfeld, Golden Girls(!), Roseanne, Will & Grace, Modern Family

Grizzly Bear, Timber Timbre, Frank Ocean, Tindersticks, Bjork, Le1f, Rufus Wainwright, Sandro Perri, Santigold, MIA, Sufjan Stevens, SBTRKT, Gotye, The Black Keys
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
This is a dumb question and therefore I will refuse to engage with it. (Why 6? Where did that magical number come from? Who decided 6 is the number of things one needs to survive?)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The state of the world and what to do about it; why my hair is so amazing; what is Tina Fey doing right now.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Stay in and read (aka watch bad tv) or go to a community queer event
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm actually a straight dudebro.
