I am your typical girl-next door, independent, loyal, and honest. I like to have fun, and am always open to trying new things. I took up running a couple of years ago and have finished five half marathons. I don't know if I love it enough to go for a full marathon, but haven't given up on that. I enjoy travelling and went China last year - it was amazing and my first stamp in my passport. I am traditional in my values, and nothing is more important to me than my family.

So that's me - what about you? I guess what I'm looking for is that indescribable...something. That connection that has no real explaination. Someone who can make me laugh. Who can challenge me to be better, while supporting me in who I am. Someone who isn't so willing to give up at the first sign of struggle, who is willing and ready to go the long haul. I am ready and willing to do and be all of those things as well. Ultimately, I am looking for balance. Someone who is balanced in their approach to life, who plays, laughs, loves and dreams, and still knows how and when to get serious and get to work when they need to.

I work in HR in the public sector. I enjoy my work but I live by the phrase "I'm working to live, not living to work". I love to go out to dinner, or a fun dive bar with a great juke box and a dart board. Clubs are not really my thing, though I can be convinced once in a while. I love the outdoors, camping, hiking, biking, whatever. I love to see the beauty in the world, I don't think most people stop to enjoy it enough.

Favorite books: I love to read, so pretty much anything not too scientific or scary.

Movies: Peter Pan (the newest one) and High Fidelity, along with many others. I am the kind of person that can watch movies over and over again. I am a sucker for happy endings. (What girl isn't?)

Food: Mexican and spaghetti

Why I'm still single. :) Seriously, I enjoy my life immensely, but am looking for something more. Not really my 'other half', I feel like a whole person by myself, but I am ready to be a partner to someone. I spend a lot of time thinking about him (whoever he is). I know that sounds incredibly cheesy, but there it is.

Friday nights I am usually in. It is my time to relax after a week of work, get some chores out of the way so I can enjoy the weekend.
