My Self-Summary

I have no clue how to sum myself up here, nobody does though so I guess it's OK. My friends have had heated arguments about how to classify me. Opinions range form the standard nerd, geek, or dork debate, but also include things like pothead (even though I don't do drugs) and intellectual. Although, they tend to think the two mean the same thing. I can't say I blame them, I'm full of contradictions that don't make sense, like collecting Zippo lighters even though I don't smoke. I've been called the walking definition of a southern gentleman and an asshole in the same breath, the nicest thing I can remember anyone saying about me was that I had an odd sense of whimsical melancholy, I'm not sure what he meant by that but I like it a lot.
I bought a house, and I'm liking that a lot. Hosting small parties, and cooking for other people is fun. Most of the time, I'd rather stay in and just have a good conversation with friends. But I love to get out and run around playing any game we can get enough people for, or going to see a movie. I think fun is about who you're with then what you happen to be doing so I'm always up to do anything.
Need to know anything else, just ask.

I'm sure there more to me than the above, it'd suck if my whole essence as a person can be summed up in less than a paragraph, but that's all I can think to say.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm not sure if I like the ideal of saying what I'm doing for a living is the same as what I'm doing with my life. But since that seems to be what people mean when they ask this, I work as a forklift driver in a warehouse.
But more then that, I wake up everyday just trying to be the best version of myself I can be.

I’m really good at

I'm a good listener/secret keeper/adviser. Stupid games like Jenga, and Monopoly. Bar games like darts or pool. Card games like poker. Anything that's just fun I can play at least a little. I can solve logic problems better than most people I know. I've been told people seek me out when they need cheering up so I must be good at that.

Like I said before there must be than this but it's just too hard to answer these questions very well.

The first things people usually notice about me

My accent is weird, I had a speech impediment as a kid that slowly got better but left me sounding nothing like a Kentucky boy should. I've lived in Lexington my entire life but even here I get asked where I'm from whenever I met someone new. Most people think I'm from England or Australia, sometimes they say Germany or the deep south. It varies a lot.

If I'm not talking, I've been told my eyes are nice.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I went though a time of not liking movies for a while because I worked at a Blockbuster for four years, but thanks to Netflix, I love movies again. Really any movie is good if your watching with a friend, ether the movie is good, or you have a lot of fun making fun of it.

I read a lot and tend to have at least three books that I'm in the middle of at any given time. There are too many that I love to go start a list here but I'm going to try later.

I've never been that into music, but my car CD player was stolen with all my CDs so now that I'm left without music going to and from work, I'm starting to think it was more important than I thought. I always listened to a huge verity of music. Before they got stolen I had everything from Johny Cash, Dixie Chicks, Weezer, White Stripes, Death Cab For Cutie, Modest Mouse, Operation Ivy, Sublime, Common, Ramones. Just anything that was well thought out and different, now I have to start over and I'm kinda looking forward to that.

The six things I could never do without

I have with me at all times ether in my truck or in my pocket the following.
Paper and Pens.
A deck of cards.
My Frisbee disc.
A coin or poker chip to shuffle on my knuckles.
A Zippo that's fulled with lighter fluid.
My cell phone, that may or may not be charged.

Some of these are just to pass the time when I'm board and some are for practical reasons and some are for sentimental reasons. I'll let you figure out what's what.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Anything and Everything, I wish I could get out of my head sometimes.

On a typical Friday night I am

There's always something to do on Fridays, ether playing poker or volleyball, eating dinner with some friends, hanging out at a bar, going to a show, or all of the above.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Well, that's just a stupid question.

You should message me if

If you want to. If you have any question or concerns, if you want to make fun of my spelling that's fine too.
