Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I was born and raised in Selma, Alabama, and the proud product of a
small town life. Don't misunderstand my small town life, though; I
live like a big city boy. Life is meant to be fun, exciting, and a
bit challenging at times ... one big adventure. I've enjoyed the
ride so far; I can't wait to find out what's next on this new
I have lived in a few places in my life since leaving Alabama, with
most of that time being spent in cities around Florida. I moved to
Atlanta from Fort Lauderdale, and I'm glad to be out of South
Florida. Atlanta is where many of my old classmates moved after
graduation, so it has been nice to be back around good people that
I can just hang out with from time to time without all the pomp of
going out in South Florida. When I hang out with my friends I
really get to hang out. No shoes, no shirt, no pants ... no problem
lol. Life is good right now.
After a long-running complicated relationship status, I am
completely single and ready to find someone who is actually right
for me. I know myself very well now; something I recommend everyone
do before entering relationships. I am sure of the things I want in
life, and what I can give to someone else. What you'll find in me
is someone who works hard, laughs hard, loves hard, and wants to
build a life of multiple assets (friends, partner, knowledge,
business, etc.) with minimal liabilities (drama, debts, etc.). I
don't want much. I am a bit of a nerd at times, and because of that
I appreciate a good dorky kind of guy who makes me laugh.
I did notice that someone posted their Myers-Briggs results so I'll
disclose I'm an INTJ/ENTP (depending on when you catch me ... the
I/E and J/P are about a point off) for those interested. I thought
it was cool that someone actually posted it here. A friend
recommended this site because the caliber of people were smarter
... personality test results are a definite upgrade from, say,
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently, I am making of list of my goals in life and developing
the steps it will take to make every aspect of my life (career,
money, family, love) successful. My career is taking off, and I
finally feel like I have a grip on my future in that area. Family
issues are winding down as we all settle into our relationships
with each other. I've also come to okcupid (it was a recommendation
from a friend). I think I'm on track with "getting my life."
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Sharing useless but interesting information lol. I watch a lot of
History Channel, Discovery Channel, and Travel Channel. It sticks
with me and I like to share it. I'm also a really good cook.
Desserts are my speciality, but I can create just about anything I
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I would have to say my eyes. They are hazel. They are not contacts
... I get that A LOT. After my eyes I would say my smile. I do have
a big ol' Coca-Cola smile as I call it. I have been told I have
nice lips many times ... I personally just think people like plump
lips and that's why they notice. Mine aren't any more special than
the next set. What I'd like people to notice about me are my shoes.
I have a closet full of saddle shoes in all kinds of colors. I LOVE
those shoes ... it goes with the whole tax nerd thing I got going.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I'm quite ecclectic with music. My playlist runs around the genres.
If I feel a good vibe during the song it is in!
Food is about the same. I love Italian, Chinese, Japanese, and of
course Southern cuisine.
Movies are down to comedy and the James Bond franchise (I have seen
all Bond films at least 5 times each). My absolute favorite movie
is "Gone With the Wind." I don't have to explain why, just watch
Currently I am reading all the Bond novels. I also recommend
reading "Shaken, Not Stirred" by my friend Aaron Cooley. Wonderful
prequel to the Bond series.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
(1) My phone because that's how I stay connected to friends and
personal safety; (2) Good friends because they always bring joy in
my life; (3) A good grocery store because cooking is a therapy for
me and I need great ingredients for my creations; (4) Tito's Vodka
because ... well ... it's just a good freaking vodka; (5) Time for
fishing because I love to fresh water fish, and you have to take
time out of your life to just pause and enjoy some fishing; and (6)
Microsoft Excel because my whole life from work to personal runs on
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How the government managed to put crack in Nutella to get us all
hooked on it. That stuff is mind boggling, and clearly a government
conspiracy. Who else would be that diabolical?
I also think to myself what life would be like if I ruled a small
country ... Stay tuned for the answer.
On a less funny note, I think about the good ol' days when people
wrote letters to each other, and thank you cards. The quickest way
to my heart is to write me a letter (eh, I'll bend a little and say
an email is okay) that's flirtatious in a respectful and playful
way. I like old-fashioned stuff like that. Did I mention I was
raised in a small town in the South?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually at my house in my drawers. A friend of mine that lives
nearby comes over after work, we hit Publix and the liquor store,
and we just hang out all night having a few drinks and laughing
about complete nonsense like good friends should. I usually cook
some crazy large meal if the mood strikes me. If we want to be
fancy we get dressed and go out to eat around the city. But since I
like just being half-nekkid (nekkid, not naked ...there's a
difference), I prefer being home.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My mother was born in Chicago, and adopted by parents who were from
Chicago and New Jersey. This means I'm half-Yankee ... oh the shame
of it all. Don't judge me.

You read all about me and my interests, and we seem to get along.
I'm interested in getting to know someone I 1) have an immediate
attraction to on some level (whether it be physically, or based off
what I read in your profile, I should be excited about you), 2) is
eager to know me better, but 3) not so eager that I feel the need
to blow my rape whistle out of fear, and 4) you're not frightened
off by our match rating (Half the time I'm more attracted to
profiles that I don't seem to rate well with until I read the
answers to their questions.) without knowing me first.
