My Self-Summary

How to summarize a person. It's not easy to do. If you talk about yourself too much, you're conceited. Not enough and you're boring. How does one actually fit a whole person into tiny little text fields? The answer, they don't. I'm going to try a little bit, though. So here we go, don't trip over the boxes at the door, it gets a little cluttered some times.

I am worth your time. You don't have to trust me, just find out for yourself.

I'm not full of myself. Just full of self confidence. Don't confuse the two. Most people do, and that's just wrong.

I'm a goofy kinda gal. I'm pretty awesome, if you ask my friends, but it does take a while to make it to the friend level. I've got a lot of acquaintances and potential friends but only a select few I would call my friend.

I attend Globe University online for a degree in Paralegal.

I have a daughter named Liliana Quinn, and she was born on July 10th, 2009. She will be my only biological child. Ask me why and I'll probably tell you.

I'm not looking for someone to help me be a parent to my child. I've got that covered. However, if you want to date me and learn how to be a parent, I'll more than gladly teach you the things you need to know. It's just not a current requirement. I don't want someone to just jump into things right away. Too much commitment like that scares a lot of people, including me. Just be the person I need and the rest should follow naturally.

I'm looking for someone who can be there for emotional support when I have a bad day or be excited for me when I have a good day. I'd like to start out with a friend and work my way from there. You should be friends with the person you're dating. It just makes more sense that way.

You can't be someone's "girlfriend" or "boyfriend" or even a friend without initially having some kind of positive chemistry first. You could start dating (or hanging out with) someone and a week later find out something you don't like. And then you're stuck with the decision of breaking someones heart or having your own broken (or being the jerk and telling them you hate their guts). I feel its best to avoid that all together and talk (and get to know each other) for a bit first. If it never progresses past friends (or even one conversation), then it wasn't meant to be.

I love music and movies. I love to cook and have a nice night in, but I also like to go out on occasion too. I don't drink or smoke, no drugs. I'm generally an easy going person, understanding and forgiving. I'm just really looking for someone to make me smile more often than not.

I'm not looking for someone to make me happy. I'm already happy. I'm looking for someone to share the happy moments with.

Even though I feel like people think I do, I do NOT have the plague. Having a a past, a child, and a tough outer exterior doesn't mean I don't need friendship and companionship too. Give me a shot. I warm up quickly.

I don't fit into any of the normal stereotypes. I wouldn't want to try. I'm a little bit of everything. I can be nerdy, I can be outgoing, I can be shy. I have tattoos and piercings. I can be quiet. I can be loud. I don't believe in specific roles for people. I like trucks. I like mud. I play video games. I collect stuffed animals and semi precious stones. I like to feel like a girl but not to be girl-y. So, essentially (but not entirely) that's me. Like it or lump it. =)

What I’m doing with my life

I'm busy being a mom. I love my little girl. You will too, someday.

I am also going to school for an AAS in Paralegal.

I just moved back home with my parents to piece my life back together. Some crap happened and now I'm fixing it. However, I'm moving back out in the early spring of 2010 but I haven't decided where yet. I'm open to suggestions.

I’m really good at

Cooking. Video games. Writing. Reading. Being happy. Making people laugh. Being a mom. All kinds of things really.

I'm really good at trusting and dating the wrong people. This has got to stop.

I'm also great at randomly singing along with music. As long as I know all the lyrics, I'm probably singing it. Also, I'm great at getting songs stuck in my head.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm short. I'm only 5'2, but I like it. I guess people also notice my self confidence. I'm not one of those overly shy people and I've never been the person who thought they didn't deserve better, and it shows.

Lately, people notice that I have my daughter with me where ever I go. Comes with the being a mom thing.

I recently pixie-cut my hair for several reasons, so an obvious answer would be that this is something someone notices first.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books, hm. Anything I can get my hands on to read, really. Preferably fiction. My favorite authors include but by no means limited to: Piers Anthony, Dean Koontz, Stephen King, Laurell K Hamilton, Jim Butcher. The list goes on.

I'm currently reading: The Cleric Quintet by R. A. Salvatore.

Movies. I will watch anything once. I love action comedies, drama comedies, and kids movies. But again, anything goes. One time. Except pornographic movies. Nothing wrong with them, just not a big fan.

Some of my favorite movies include: Dogma, Rent, Finding Nemo, Madagascar, All the Jay and Silent Bob movies, Butterfly Effect, and Any Cinderella story (best two are Ella Enchanted and Ever After).

I also really love horrible B Movies.

Music. I love music of all kinds. I'm a punk girl at heart, but i listen to a little bit of everything depending on my mood. I also like a lot of unknowns and underground music. Some of it even becomes mainstream after awhile.

A few music favorites: Green Day, Her Space Holiday, Second Hand Serenade, Dashboard Confessional, Nirvana, Offspring, All American Rejects, David Cook, Rascal Flats, Iron and Wine, daphne loves derby, Cartel, All Time Lows, City and Colour, Deathcab for Cutie, Bayview. Just to name a few. If I were to list them all it would take forever. If you don't know a band, ask me. I'll gladlytell you about them and point you to my favorite song by them.

Food. Anything and everything. Food is a passion of mine; cooking, eating and buying it. I'm a sucker for Chinese take-out, though.

The six things I could never do without

books. music. my kittens. my daughter. entertainment. human contact.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Everything. I'm always thinking.

Lately I wonder what ever new parent wonders: I wonder if I'm going to do a good job raising my child.

I also wonder if I'm ever going to find what I'm looking for in another human. The task has proven difficult so far. I'm really not asking too much, but I refuse to settle for less.

What life would be like if evil gummy bears ruled the world.

Why 90% of the guys on here mention the upcoming zombie apocalypse and if I should be worried that they know something I don't.

On a typical Friday night I am

Friday nights are like every other night for me. I don't party and being currently jobless, my nights and days are similar. I never understood why Friday night was more important than Tuesday night. Doesn't Tuesday deserve some love too?

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I'm scared about being a parent, but I know I'll do my best to raise her right.

I used to watch the court tv shows on fox relentlessly, almost obsessively. But now I rarely turn on the tv..

I occasionally watch American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance. Deal with it. =)

I think I say the word seriously way too much. Seriously.

You should message me if

You think you may be as awesome as me.

Honestly though, I'm open to communication with anyone, as long as they understand I am a mother first and foremost.

Please, don't start a conversation with how cute you may or may not think I am. This gets really old and is very unoriginal. I understand if you're shy or awkward around girls. I'm pretty easy to talk to and it's not hard to find something to talk to me about. Pick a book, a band, or something in my profile to ask about or talk about.

While I have nothing against the way people chose to live their lives, if you do drugs of any sort then you and I will never make it past friends. If you do them heavily, even friends may be out of the question.

Also, communication and intelligence are important to me. Keep that in mind. For example, these are all a no.

ABSOLUTELY NO: waz, u, r, ur, kno, plz
these and a few others will get you ignored. I'm a bit of a spelling and grammar freak, but I understand typos. I know the difference between not being able to spell and being lazy. Don't be lazy.

P.S. I can be an aggressive person, but I often don't message someone first anymore. If I have, then I must have really liked something about you. If I haven't, well, sometimes, I need to know that a guy can be aggressive. I don't just not respond to people if I can help it. So I PROMISE if you message me with something besides hi, you're cute I will message you back. I do need my potential friends and or significant others to have enough back bone. If you can't message me first, then you don't have enough chutzpah to be around me and my child. **edit** If you don't have a picture, I will not respond to you. I don't care why you don't have a picture. I am not being shallow. it isn't that hard to find a way to get a picture, so what ever your excuse is it's probably lame. Or you're married. End of story. This is not open for debate.

Please note: If you contact me and I don't respond it's because my internet connection can be a little wacky. Or it could be that my daughter needed my attention. But I will get to you as soon as I can.

Wow, that sounded a bit like an answering machine message.

You're still here? Message me already. I promise I won't bite. =)
