Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

BUBBLY AND BRAINY IN SEARCH OF CONFIDENT AND CLEVER
Artsy fiction writer. Former dancer, freelance writer, and PR
professional. Replenished by the arts. Motivated by the belief that
history’s good side is not just success stories but also untold
tales of those who had the courage to try and fail before progress
was made. Have volunteered for a human rights organization, a civil
liberties group, and a political action group. Like books.
(Literature reminds me why I'm alive.)

I'm looking for someone who's rather open and sincere to share good
conversation with, experiences, and hopefully some belly laughs.
And some chivalry never hurts. But I don't have a checklist: if we
click, we click.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm writing fiction and living in my family home with my mother and
sister. I used to live in DC and owned a private-practice massage
salon there, which I closed in 2011 after my father became ill. (I
cared for him until he passed away last year.)
I've done a variety of work in the past, including PR, fundraising,
and event planning for museums, a national land-conservation
organization, and a cultural magazine and festival which I
I still love DC (the ethnic restaurants, cafes and mom-and-pop
shops, festivals and indie films, and frequency of running into
friends and chats with strangers), but now that I'm in the 'burbs,
I spend more time in nature, biking around lakes and through the
woods or going for a walk to the natural market. I love certain
forms of exercise, like stretching, dance workouts, and bicycling.
I ride about 10 miles a few times a week.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making others feel comfortable. And writing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm easy to talk to.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I included five in "my self summary" before I knew it would be a
question here. Now for number six. Maybe "Imagination" (which
Einstein said is everything). Or "Writing" (I've in fact tried to
do without it more than once, and it doesn't stick. I always go
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Well not a lot of time, but while on this site I've pondered why
wanderlust and worldliness (although attractive traits) are etched
here more exquisitely than honorability, compassion, and lust for
the grandeur of human connection.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Swimming, eating out, staying in, watching a film...reading,
writing, chatting with friends...dancing to the beat of my own
drummer, leading an ordinary life...staying up late, turning in
early...doing this, that, or the other thing, or nothing, nothing
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm looking for magic even though I pretend I'm not.
