My son is my world and my everything and you should be willing to take the back burner to my pint sized peanut. He's the number one man in my life and will always be. Deal with it.

I'm a student at Concordia majoring in Women's Studies at the moment with aspirations of possibly transferring into the Studio Arts program to hopefully eventually become an art therapist.

Books: Flow: The Cultural Story of Menstruation Elissa Stein and Susan Kim (definitely a book I think EVERYONE should read, man or woman), Tattoo Machine: all Tales, True Stories, and My Life in Ink by Jeff Johnson, L'Écume des Jours by Boris Vian, I am currently reading Rocking The Cradle: Thoughts on Motherood, Feminism and the Possibility of Empowered Mothering by Andrea O'Reilly, Black Feminist Thought:Knowledge, Consciousness, and the Politics of Empowerment by Patricia Hill Collins (yes I loves me the feminist literature) and Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. I love reading and I've just started to collect books.

Movies: There are so many! I'm a huge Adam Sandler fan so anything with him in it is an instant win! Hot Rod, Biodome!, Le Fabuleux Destin D'Amelie Poulain, Fight Club, Snatch, Burn After Reading, Lucky Number Slevin, Pool Hall Junkies, Lock Stock and Two Smokin' Barrels, Donnie Brasco, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Cry Baby, Hebrew Hammer, Moulin Rouge, The Assassination of Jesse James ... I LOVE live concerts and stand up. Infact, either would probably be a great first date.

Music: Shit I'm allover the map. Blues, country, punk, pop whatever. Its hard to say you like music but only specify a few genres because when you get into it, every style stems from another and they all just mesh and collide with each other at some point for some sort of wonderful eargasm. I must admit I dont listen to metal.. But here is a quick list of what I've been listening to lately;

Being thrifty. I like finding new uses for things. I like to upcycle. I'm always working on new projects. Right now I'm making light fixtures out of jack daniels bottles and mason jars and next i want to carve and make wood block prints.

at home with a movie, my son, and sometimes a friend or two. I spend a lot of time working on my business (so my friday nights are usually spent making soap)

if I get a night off I am probably out catching a local band, I grew up going to punk rock shows and I feel most comfortable at a dive bar rather than an after hours party. or i like to go out and grab a drink here and there (i just discovered the awesomeness that is cider haha! now i cant pass up a pint of cider or a black velvet)

i'm terrified of balloons and lightbulbs, yeah...actually
