My Self-Summary
I am a single guy living in Eastern North Carolina, looking for
someone who appreciates old fashion qualities blended with
technical geekness.
Tho' I am definitely a BRIT ( Boy Raised in the South ) I have covered a range of cultural experiences, ranging from head-banging stadium rock to performing with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, mixed sound for small country bands playing in the Piney Grove Jambornee, as well as working with rare and antique books.
The family farm is only an hour from here when I need quiet ( as in NO CELLPHONE BARS ). I actually know little about farming, having left at the age of three, an incident involving running over a man with a chevy pickup. The main thing I have learned is that if you grab hold of an electric fence, cows will laugh at you so hard that milk will come out of their nose.

What I’m doing with my life
I work with statistics and computers, trying to keep a 95 Grand
Cherokee running, trying to figure out how to work sheet metal on
an old Mustang.
I've always been kinda quiet so I'm trying to be more social as well as broaden my circle of friends. While I have been in Wilmington a few years, some responsibilties have kept me busy and left little time for socializing. I want to change that.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
My reading list tends to include non-fiction ( history and science
), horror and thriller fiction. I have a soft spot for conspiracy
theories, some of the most creative fiction on the planet.
I tend to enjoy traditional "guy" movies, tho' I have a soft spot for Kids movies. Love traditional type Horror movies.
Not a vegan - Sorry meat eater here. Mexican, Greek, Italian, anything with lots of meat.
My musical taste run all over the dial from techno/house to clawhammer banjo. But most of the time, I'm listening to something with roots in American Blues / Old Time / Classical.

The six things I could never do without
1. Blackberry, not so much for the cellphone but the email and mp3
capabilities.
2. 6 String Guitar, got a couple, just as long as I have one.
3. My keys, with skeleton keys from both my grandparents houses, link to my past.
4. Reading Glasses, getting old sucks.
5. Various geek tools, cause someone's going to ask for help.
6. T-Tom the cat. He's 18 years old. I might have to figure out a backup plan for this one.
