I am here, point, and laugh.
My Self-Summary
My childhood was pretty average, I grew up in the jungles of
Indian, raised by wolves... wait... no... that was Mowgli.
Although, a wolf did once chew apart the interior of my car. Lesson
learned: Wolves have little patience and love the taste of
seats.
Seriously though, I've spent the last decade of my life as an IT
professional (read: nerd) and small business owner, but decided
about a year ago to go back to school for a degree in robotics
(read: bigger nerd). I'm also working currently as a film producer
in the indi-movie industry (no, not those kinds of indi-movies, get
your mind out of the gutter).
My friends describe me as a kind, caring, gentle, helpful and a
laid back person. I am close with my family, (I have 4 awesome
sisters) and believe that family is an important part of life.
Lately I've found myself hiking, taking scenic drives, traveling,
kart racing, biking, and goat herding (no, not really). Nights; I'm
not really into the bar / club scene (never really was), more of a
take in a movie at home or do something cultural kind of guy.
I've traveled the world some (europe and north america mostly),
poorly speak a few languages, play the piano and guitar, enjoy art
(well most...), auto racing (driving, not watching), a jack of all
trades, cook (Italian mostly) and clean, a vegetarian*, and tend to
lean towards Buddhism (by philosophy, not practice). I also believe
that educating oneself should be a lifelong passion.
*(RE: vegetarian: It's not that I don't enjoy the taste of meat, I
think animals are very tasty BBQ'd, I just don't dig on swine,
that's all. I'll survive with my vegetables and grains. And no, it
doesn't bother me if you eat meat, it's a personal choice.)
Did I forget anything? Oh, my aspirations and goals! I would like
to do something with one of my skills that makes a positive
difference in the world. I'd like to live in a foreign country for
a year, maybe France. I would also like to find that special
someone, who is there during my moments of weakness, to point and
laugh. =)
I’m really good at
Seeing things from other peoples point of view, or so I've been
told. I try to be a good listener also.
I suppose I'm pretty good with cars, I've rebuilt a few classic
mustangs, owned my own performance automotive shop, and still am
the go-to-guy for all my family and friends when it comes to car
advise, etc. I've also spent my fair share of time behind the
wheel, doing auto-x, road racing, drag strip, etc.
Considering my past employment, I'm fairly handy with a computer, I
even supplement my income with a few g-rated websites.
And finally, growing up I was always helping my dad with his income
properties, so I've put on a few roofs, rewired a few houses, done
more than my fair share of plumping, drywall, painting, etc. The
experience comes in handy from time to time.
The first things people usually notice about me
I get a lot of compliments on my eyes, of which I have two. Depth
perception is awesome!
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Until I feel compelled to write something of greater substance,
I'll summarize.
I like any book/movie/music that has some kind of substance to it.
It takes more than some flashing lights / shinny things to
entertain me. Oh, I'd like to add that I believe Lucas should be
taken out and horse-whipped for making the newest set of Star Wars
films.
My taste in music... I pretty much like anything, except for
country, just could never really get into it, but I am still open
to suggestion. I have a soft spot for politically poignant music
(RATM, Flobots, etc) and I like a lot of more obscure stuff. My
favorite music groups / artists are Daft Punk, Louis Armstrong and
RATM.
As far as food goes, quality over quantity. 95% of buffets suck,
especially if you're vegetarian. I'd rather eat 50% less of
something than the 50% less flavor version. I tend to gravitate
towards spicy foods, so Mexican and Thai food are on the top of my
list.
The six things I could never do without
1. Family.
2. Friends.
3. The ocean.
4. The Internet.
5. Beers.
6. Writing lists.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The state of the world. What to have for breakfast. Equally
difficult subjects.
On a typical Friday night I am
Depends where I am. Anything from doing homework, to hanging out
with friends in Vegas.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I've been told that on occasion, while sleeping, I make a sound
that is very similar to a girl moaning. Manly, I know.

You should message me if you'd like to get to know me better.
That's kinda the point eh?
