My self-summary
Update: I went through a period where I wasn't using this site (I've had this account for some time) and therefore it's not quite up to date with who I am as a person. It has a whole cocky ass sales vibe that I don't feel applies anymore. So take it with a grain of salt, so to speak, and send me a message. I'm always looking forward to meeting new friends in the area.
----------------------------------------------

I was just told that there is an empty essay here, and to fill it out. After careful consideration, I decided to heed the advice, and from that decision comes the words you now read. Epic, huh? Well, a little about me: I'm kick-ass. Pretty awesome too. And while that -should- be enough to make you want to buckle down and meet me already.... Well, everybody wants something extra these days. But I can't give you everything. Then you wouldn't have an excuse to message me. :p
What I’m doing with my life
Graduated Stephen F. Austin University with a Major in Marketing and a Minor in Entrepreneurship. I plan on establishing my own businesses down the road, perhaps relating to real-estate development. I currently work as part of a sales team to expand an HVAC and roofing contractor in the DFW area. I shouldn't say "work." I love what I'm doing.

"Most people die at 25, but wait until 70 to be buried." - Ben Franklin.

I think this holds true now more than ever.
Live to learn, learn to live.
I’m really good at
Oh, most things. I'm very physical and spend quite a bit of time in the gym, reading about health and nutrition, or cooking. Working on cars was always an interest, though since I live in an apartment, I don't expand on it too much. I'm an outdoors type. Hiking, rock climbing, camping, swimming. I have a mild interest in photography, and not too bad at it. I'm a fast and very avid reader and I always know more about what's going on than you think.
The first things people usually notice about me
That you can't hold onto the first thing you noticed about me. I'll throw all your preconceptions out of the window as fast as you can formulate them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Dune and all affiliated, Lord of the Rings series, ANYTHING by Arthur C. Clarke, Ender's series, many, many others

Movies: Mostly ones based on books. :)
But I assure you, there are many more. I love action flicks. A thing for documentaries. Speaking of....

TV: Not too much. But History Channel, Discovery Channel, History International... You get the picture. Also, some tech shows and a few series. I did particularly like the first season of Heroes. Thank you, Netflix.

I have to throw in a game category and mention a few things. Like Halo, Skyrim, Minecraft, and a few others.....
And off the screen? Scrabble, Monopoly, Battleship, and anything I haven't tried.

Music: You'll just have to hit me up on this one. Genres: Hard Rock, Metal, Industrial, Techno, Dance, Dubstep, Trance, Ambient, Jazz, Blues, Soft Rock, Classic Rock, *ahem Hard Rock, Met... See what I did there? It's like a musical rainbow of rock and awesome.

Foods: I tend to eat pretty healthy myself and I prefer to hang out with people who enjoy the same. However, I also have this pretty intense drive to try new things (in all facets of life - but especially culinary). I'm from a pretty limited rural area, so I can't help but get excited about all the restaurants here. And I cook as well, so I could make a day trip out of shopping at Central Market.
The six things I could never do without
1. Water. I pretty much always have a bottle or glass.
2. Something to eat. I snack - actually, I simply eat - a lot. Like a healthy, not-actually-fat fat kid.
3. Me time. Especially outdoors. I enjoy working and building things.
4. My best friends. I associate myself with some pretty great people.
5. Cell phone, because it's my only phone.
6. Laptop. Sort of like the phone. Except somehow probably more prevalent.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I grew up an introvert, and have become an extrovert. I think I embody much of the best of both worlds. I have the social skills... But I have some very contemplative and introspective moments. Life, love, where I've gone, and where I'm going. The little things. I love learning. Complex things, simple things. An insightful discussion over life's decisions will turn to an inside joke at a moments notice.
On a typical Friday night I am
A typical Friday night for an atypical individual? I think not.
Sometimes it includes hundreds at a festival, concert, or bar, sometimes it includes my closest friends, sometimes it includes just... me. It's usually pretty great though. :)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Not too private, but that I've found that many, many of the girls on this site are just a tid bit nerdy. And it's awesome.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 19–26
  • Near me
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
you are awesome. Not the "awesome to boost my own self-esteem and get you to message me" awesome, but the real thing. I'm one of a kind, I expect you to be too. :)
But hey, I get along with anybody, and I'm always up for making new friends. That no-strings-attached friendship business is kinda nice also, so don't hesitate. Might be too late by the time you quit thinking about it.

I do own a beautiful and friendly Argentine boa, and may adopt more as time goes on. I know that some people have trouble with some species of pets and I'd like to be up front about it.
