I'm a happy person who loves to laugh. The core of my being,
however, is caring about the feelings of others and doing my best
to be kind and good to everyone. That pretty much sums it up.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm living each day to its fullest and enjoying every single day -
even the dark and dreary ones. "The sun'll come up tomorrow." I
love to read mysteries, my favorite all-time movie is "Legends of
the Fall" which is a wonderful story of family relationships and
also of love between men and women. I spend time with my
granddaughters whenever I can (ages 3, 6, and 14). I keep in touch
with my out-of-town family. I have a wonderful gaggle of friends
and I spend a lot of time with them. I love to play cards and board
games. I love to listen to music (Norah Jones is my favorite!). I'm
a woman who loves her life and everyone in it, but feels that
something is missing somewhere. Are you the missing link?
I’m really good at
I love to listen to people and my friends tell me I'm pretty good
at it. I think my most positive trait is that I am a very caring
and nurturing person.
The first things people usually notice about me
Now how in the world would I know the answer to that? :o)
I hope they notice that I am neatly dressed and clean and that I'll
smile at just about anyone.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Hmmm....let's see. My favorite foods are: a small steak straight
from the grill, pizza, CHOCOLATE and PEANUT BUTTER together (ice
cream, cookies, candy, etc.), subs/hoagies, a really good salad,
mashed potatoes, cheeseburgers, and yes, I do like veggies as well.
My favorite movie has already been mentioned above (Legends of the
Fall). Musicians: Norah Jones, John Mellencamp, Springsteen, Neil
Diamond, Jimmy Buffett, and lots of soft rock. I'm a prodigy of the
50's and 60's, so I enjoy all kinds of old music too and I enjoy
most of today's music also. I like to read mysteries by James
Patterson and authors who write similarly. I've read enough
self-help books that by now I should be perfect - but thank the
lord, I stopped reading them about 10 years ago. (I'm contented
with who I am and nirvana just isn't possible!) The things I don't
like are: sci-fi, violent movies, boring books, snobby people, most
alchololic drinks, and people who are unkind to animals. I have a
very soft heart when it comes to babies. I love the way they smell,
the way they move, and their inquisitive little minds. If you
haven't run away by now, well....maybe there's a chance that you
and I could be good together.
The six things I could never do without
Hmmm - well I certainly couldn't do without air.....uh, duh! What
six things could I never do without? My memories of all the
wonderful people I've known, my children, my grandchildren, MUSIC
(definitely would not want to be hanging around here without
music), the glorious sun and the sound of the ocean, and waking
from a beautiful dream.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Who knows? Depends on the day I guess. My mind tends to wander
frequently though and sometimes I have to rein it back in.
On a typical Friday night I am
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Well, gee - if it's private, why would I want to tell anyone?
Actually, I'm a very open person. Life is too short for keeping
