My self-summary
My main interests include music, record collecting and playing music myself (I'm a singer and I'm play the double bass). I also like classic cinema and world cinema as well as film in general; and I'm also interested in linguistics, especially the Scottish Gaelic language; along with a casual layman's interest in history and politics.
What I’m doing with my life
Studied Chemistry at the University of Glasgow, with a year taken out to go to the Outer Hebrides and study traditional music and Gaelic. Currently volunteering and job hunting in Edinburgh whilst taking evening classes in Gaelic and Spanish.

I'm also hoping to travel to South America/Central America and volunteering to teach English; as it's somewhere I've always wanted to see but never had the chance.
I’m really good at
I'm not bad at singing. On top of that I'm a decent cook, too, although cooking is mostly just a fun hobby. I'm not too shabby at seeking out new and interesting music, either.

In general I'd say my motto is just to keep trying new things that interest me, though. Otherwise I might be a natural at something and just never know.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
It changes around a lot, so if you ask me on different days you'll likely get different answers. Feel free to ask, though.

Currently anyway I'm reading James Hogg's The Private Memoirs and Confessions of a Justified Sinner and aside from that I've been going through something of a Medieval/Classics phase, I think the last film I saw was Come and See and the last show was re-watching The Wire.
The six things I could never do without
Music
Good friends
Interesting conversation
A nice warm bed
...
And I suppose obviously food and water, too
On a typical Friday night I am
Mostly these days I tend to find myself at home practising singing or bass. Unless I receive an invitation elsewhere; in which case that's where I'll be; at the pub or having a quiet night with friends.
