My self-summary
Likes heavy metal and the symphony looking for someone to do both with.

I read voraciously. Everything from Dune to Pride and Predjudice, but mostly science fiction/fantasy. My favorite book is Starship Troopers... A fantastic book but a horrific movie.

I'm an avid skier... Grew up in Colorado chasing moguls with my dad and now get out in the Cascades whenever I can.

Just moved to Omaha and there are lots of concerts coming up and it would be great to meet a smart, funny girl who can appreciate my sarcasm and have some good conversations over food, drink, and a wide range of music.

As stated above I just moved here and updated this profile please excuse any left over Seattle references or I'm still in the Navy stuff.
What I’m doing with my life
I am extremely happy that I got out of the Navy after eight years! Looking forward to starting a new career with Google!
I’m really good at
Video games. I'm being honest here, girls.
Making people laugh. My female friends can attest to this.
Skiing. Did I mention this?
Discussing the nuances of movie plots and character development - whether in Oscar-caliber films or 2011's horrible Conan the Barbarian.
My job. But that is boring...
The first things people usually notice about me
Tall, blue eyes, and dimples. I'm freaking adorable.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Book: (see above...)

Movie: My favorite genre is action, of course. The original Die Hard is the best! Its tough to narrow down others to a favorite. Gladiator was great. Down Periscope, Office Space and Groundhog Day combined sum up my experience in the Navy, and each make me laugh every time.

Shows: I don't really watch TV. Unless you mean sports. No Reservations is the best show.

Music: I mentioned heavy metal, right? In Flames is my favorite betal band, hands down. I also really like Mumford & Sons and Rage Against The Machine. I really like a lot of different music. My favorite composer is Beethoven, and I am trying to do my part to make sure the symphony doesn't die in America.

Food: Fresh fruits and vegetables are amazing. I love Italian food - simple ingredients and preparation make it the best. I'm a beer connoisseur. Love local microbrews, and Great Divide Brewery in Colorado is my favorite.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Getting out of the Navy. Woohooo!
Much, much more... Let's talk about it!
On a typical Friday night I am
There is no typical Friday night. Dinner & a movie, to the city for drinks and a nice meal with friends, game night with friends, poker night... Many options!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
When I was a freshman in high school, I accidentally went into the girls bathroom instead of the boys. I didn't realize it until a group of girls came in, laughing and talking about whatever girls talk about in the bathroom. I had to hide in the stall for 30 minutes, with my feet up, until it was okay to sneak out. I was 20 minutes late for class, but didn't have to face horrible high school drama about going into the wrong bathroom. To this day, I always do a urinal check when I walk into a bathroom...
