My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
New Job, new page, new chapter! Hello there (or hello again, if you've visited before)

After a decade of living in Philly, I moved back home to NYC in 2012 and there are days when I can't remember why I ever left... Which was- to go to grad school in Texas (Hook Em!) and then spend almost 10 years working on a once in a lifetime opportunity to help relocate a museum- it's not very often that one gets to move a museum- super interesting and very intense experience. One great perk is that I now have a ton of very cool friends who work at or run some of the best museums in the world. Oh and Philadelphia is an amazing town- great food, great culture, great music- managed to live there for a decade and remain faithful to my NY Giants.

I moved back home to be closer to my family and to really just "be home." I've stayed in the non-profit sector and nowadays I work at a small independent school in Manhattan that is truly a magical place. I am your typical former Peace Corps general do-gooder (served in Thailand and got to travel the world... I've been to India, Nepal, China, Thailand(of course)- took the Trans-Siberian Railroad home (through China, Mongolia and Russia) from my Peace Corps service... seemed like a fun way to go.).

I love kids and would be delighted if they were part of my life one way or another either as a parent or as a step-parent, or perhaps just continuing to be the amazingly cool aunt I am now- at least according to my 10+ nieces and nephews.

I'd like to think that I am looking for what everyone is looking for- someone to hold my hand, make me laugh and smile, share fun days and long fun nights with..... My life is pretty great and I feel lucky and blessed- the only thing it seems to be missing is "You."
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am living a fun life in Manhattan and enjoying a summer house on Fire Island. I'm always out and about walking my fantastic dog- she rocks! Especially fond of weekend mornings in Central Park and trying to find the best Thai restaurants in NYC.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Conversations, getting to know people, making you feel at ease, probably making you laugh. I am exceptionally good at loyalty and friendship and respecting others. I'm an OK cook (unless it is in massive quantities in which case, I excel as I'm apparently genetically pre-disposed to being able to feed small armies- if you met my family, you'd understand) Oh and most importantly- I'm actually really good at balancing being happy with my life and seeking to make it better and fuller (it's a lot harder than it sounds- think about it.)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Physically... My eyes and my smile. Also my voice is kind of raspy- so there's that.
In general... that I am open and gregarious and warm and welcoming (and humble?!?!?!)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books and Movies- there is NO way I could pick just one or even a few- we'd need genres and the like. Easier to tell you that I DO NOT like horror films, anything involving Vampires, and extreme violence. I love most music (and interestingly tend to like most stuff produced by Clive Davis) but am not a huge fan of rap or metal. TV shows- Homeland, The Wire, Sopranos, Seinfeld. Food Italian and Thai top the list, but I'm game for most stuff... except Haggis... not going to happen in this lifetime.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I COULD do without this question... alas they didn't ask us that. So,
My Family, my friends, my health, my dog, the ocean (any ocean) and sunshine.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Just normal stuff really... work, my family & friends, the state of the universe, how people can believe some of the stuff they do, what life is going to be like 10 - 15 years from now... Nothing profound I realize, but true nonetheless
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I don't have a typical Friday night. I'm always doing *something* whether it is catching a movie, going out with friends, catching up with a friend on the phone, grabbing a good bite to eat. I'm busy but not in a frenetic way. Just doing me, I suppose.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Really? Really? You gotta at LEAST buy me a coffee for this one :)
