My Self-Summary
So I got a new pair of jeans the other day that make my bohunkus look quite shapely. I went out to eat wearing these new nicely formed jeans, feeling quite secure in myself. Sure enough, sitting at a table across the room was an attractive, tall woman unashamedly staring at me, and I sensed her gaze directed at my behind quarters. More hungry than interested in the situation, but feeling quite content with myself, I flamboyantly ate my meal. To my confirmation, when I got up to pay, the staring woman quietly followed me to the counter. As the lady running the register was out of earshot, this tall attractive woman leaned in close to me and said "Hey, are those new jeans?" and I said dramatically "Why, YES, yes they are!" and she said "Well.... You left the sticker on the butt."
And this, ladies and gentlemen, is the most interesting thing that has happened to me since I came to east Tennessee from Nashville. Can you blame me for seeking interesting people in the area?
I feel out of place here on the "pla-taw" of Tennessee, so I'm curious to see who else is around.
What I’m doing with my life
I work in Film (yes, as in the movie business) in Nashville, but as the industry quiets down this time of year I am visiting EAST Tennessee for a few months to study for a job in California where I plan to return at the beginning of the year.
I’m really good at
I'm also good at dancing, or I used to be. And I'm splendid at bursting out into completely random song at the most unorthodox times.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have been called an 'old soul' and I get along very well with those who are 30+ years old, and I thoroughly enjoy (and might even say get along with the best) those who are 50+ years old because we seem to have the most to talk about and the deepest and best conversations.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I love such movies as 'Stardust', 'Braveheart', 'Rear Window' by Alfred Hitchcock, 'Spartacus' with Kirk Douglas and Sir. Laurence Olivier, Disneys 'The Sword in the Stone', the epic 'V for Vendetta', Hayao Miyazaki's 'Howl's Moving Castle', the beautiful 'August Rush' and far too many others to recount.
You do NOT want to go see a movie with me, because as I work in the film industry, I see things in the film-making process that make me twitch, and I will be pointing out issues throughout the film.
My three current favorite songs are 'Cello Suite No. 1, Prelude' by Bach, 'Space Lion' by Yoko Kanno and 'Fireflies' by Owl City.
If you put food in front of me, it will be eaten. If you try to hide food from me, it will be sniffed out and eaten. NEVER invite me over for dinner, because if you innocently offer me food, I will accept and there will be none left when I leave.
I have a fascination with teas, herbs and their multitude of uses.
The six things I could never do without
My Friends,
My Palm phone,
My Computer,
My Ambitions,
My Dreams,
My Hope,
My Faith,
My Adobe Master Collection,
A Glass of Red Wine before bed,
and the ability to count to six.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Why you never see anything about that show 'Dinosaurs' anymore, it was so popular when I was a kid!
Script and business ideas.
On a typical Friday night I am
I believe that if there's "nothing to do" in your town, you just don't know the right people, and need to work on your creativity and conversational skills. Get half a cantaloupe and put it on your head while walking down main street saying "I am a panda, smile for me!" I promise you, that will make things more interesting.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
(ten points if you can name that movie without the help of google)
I usually get along better with people in their late 20's/early 30's than those my age.
I have shared a private lunch with director/actor Mel Gibson in his office.
I have visited 46 of the 50 US states, and 7 countries aside.
You should message me if
Someday I will meet the person who asks the right questions, holds themselves to the right standards, and is spiritually in tune. I am not expecting that day any time soon, and until that day I am seeking only friends. If I hit it off with someone I wouldn't mind a casual date over tea (preferably while speaking in outrageous accents). Basically I just love people and want to find some interesting people around the tri-cities!
Congratulations, you have made it to the end of my profile, you get a muffin. If you read the end first, you are a cheater and should go eat a pumpkin.
