I'm back in California after completing a master's program in Political Science at the University of New Hampshire. It was a very exciting experience, but its also good to be home!

I have a pretty wide range of interests, especially my ever-expanding music collection, cooking and entertaining, photography, and discussing politics, law, or philosophy. I try to experience as much of life as possible, so I'm usually up for a new or random adventure! I love meeting new people and trying new things! I look forward to day trips and excursions with friends, and I've had quite a few good ones in the last few years (its amazing what you can discover and rediscover around San Francisco, even when you spend most of your life in close proximity).

It took some time to get settled after moving back to California, so while I'll be applying to law school soon, I'm planning to be in Davis for awhile. My return has been working out very well: I have a fantastic job, really enjoy living in this area, and have great friends in town and nearby. While I don't have all my posts locked down, I have a pretty detailed set of blueprints.

I'm looking for a really good match where we can build a great relationship. I like guys who are intelligent and ambitious, have a good sense of humor, and have an intense interest in something (even if its not one that I share).

I received a master's degree in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire last year. I went a little overboard with my research projects completing both a thesis (on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals) and an independent study research project (on party behavior), as well as serving as a graduate student senator and the president of my hall council. I've given myself a little time to breathe since I've moved back. But I'll eventually stop procrastinating on the LSAT and start applying to law schools as well as trying to edit my thesis for publication.

I consider myself a man of many talents, but I'm biased. My favorite would be my music obsession (I'm an unrepentant music geek ). I have 875 CDs in my collection, which continues to grow, and I can tell you everything you ever wanted to know about certain musicians, albums, genres. Last year I assembled a 16-disc 60s collection that covered the entire decade, and I'm working on an expansion.

I have yet to get a consensus on this, but since you're asking me, I'd say intelligent, outgoing, and nerdy.

As is probably obvious by now, I'm a huge music fan. I've got quite a range of favorite artists: Emmylou Harris, Elvis Costello, The Velvet Underground, New York Dolls, Led Zeppelin, Mickey Newbury, Metallica, Pink Floyd, Phil Ochs, Love, The Clash, The New Pornographers, Jim Steinman, Blind Guardian, Richard Thompson, Lucinda Williams, Big Star, The Shins, Neil Young. I'm always looking for new recommendations and I have plenty to share.

Favorite books include the Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones), The Catcher in the Rye, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Brave New World, The Nine, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Harry Potter, Fear & Loathing on the Campaign Trail '72.

Favorite movies: V for Vendetta, Citizen Kane, MASH, Pulp Fiction, Star Wars (original trilogy only), Animal House, Dogma, The Matrix, The Godfather, The Dark Knight, Amadeus, Better Off Dead, Fight Club, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Dr. Strangelove or How I Stopped Worrying and Learned to Love the Bomb

Favorite TV Shows include: M*A*S*H, The Prisoner (60s classic), Arrested Development, Dexter, Firefly, Burn Notice, Good Eats, Doctor Who, The Big Bang Theory, The Office, Seinfeld, Star Trek.

I love great food. I'm a very good cook and an aspiring foodie. Quality matters more than style, but I'm very much into French and Italian food. While I'm pretty particular with my likes and dislikes, I will try new things with the right amount of coaxing.
