My self-summary
I'm off on a new adventure, updating my profile, and trying to get rid of the stuff that repeats.

I just meandered back from to Sarasota Florida in November back to middle Georgia, near McDonough, which a friend of mine thoughtfully described recently as 'way out in the boondocks'. I cannot blame them personally.

A bit about me, I'm a country boy from small town Georgia. I'm a cowboy at heart and a scholar of things strange off the wall, and sometimes scary, like ghost hunting. I'm very athletic, but not into organized sports a all nor do I watch them. I prefer solo or small group things like Martial Arts, camping, archery, shooting, hiking, rock climbing, etc. I'm also into photography, bonfires on the beach, people watching, and partying till the sun comes up the next morning. I however am not into the 'bar scene' and never have been. I'm happy to meet over drinks though. Being in a city is kind of like being in an adventure and fun candy store for me. There's always something new to do or try so I'm rarely bored. When I do take things easy I read copious amounts of books, garden, build or craft a variety of things, and hang out with friends and family discussing everything from the paranormal to current political hot button issues.

I date readers, geeks, nerds, freaks, strange, intelligent and out of the box interesting people. I don't watch much TV at all anymore except for the rare movie or show to geek out to. Things like Avengers, Pixar movies, scifi/fantasy, supernatural, mysteries, guy movies, and romantic comedies. I also am a science geek, watch anime, go to scifi/fantasy conventions, have roleplayed, the dice based one you pervs, and countless others. I am also a very happy sci-fi and fantasy geek and all that implies. Costuming, Renaissance Fair's, Sci-Fi/Fantasy Conventions, Special Effects Makeup, ghost hunting, strange and cool skills, Anime, Role Playing Games, computer games, science, SCA events, and many more things are among my variety of interests.

I am a Coast Guard veteran and have traveled up and down the shores of North and South America. I've lived in Kodiak Alaska, San Francisco, San Diego, and Yorktown Virginia. I've traveled a fair piece of the contiguous USA, to include Hawaii and Alaska, as well as over half a dozen other countries. I've helped out at a orphanage and did desert white water rafting in Peru. Hiked through central American rain forests to the most stunning waterfall I've ever seen. Jumped in the frigid waters of Alaska's Bering Sea in a survival suit for a steel beach open swim. Been from Las Vegas, which was hotter then hades, up into the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone. The northeast and middle America are two places I need to get out and explore more.

My time in the Coast Guard and subsequent jobs selling firearms have made me very familiar with firearms. Going to the range or teaching someone to shoot well, whether your new or a old hand, are two of my favorite things and something I'd prefer in a match. I'm a big believer in the ability to defend yourself and those you love. At the same time I'm not some hard right wing nut. I'm very Libertarian when it comes to my personal beliefs and views. Put simply I'm very liberal on social issues and conservative on financial ones. So despite my "cowboy' appearance I don't fit the typical stereotype. I still listen to country though. As well as Rock, Metal, Jazz, Celtic, Pop, Latin, Opera, and a dozen other genre of music.

Do you love life and want to dance it with someone as crazy as you?
What I’m doing with my life
Academically, seeing the crash of the traditional college market for jobs I switched to Machine Tool/CNC/CAD Associates degree. Plans to get into Gunsmithing, creative or special effects metal work fabrication, the emerging market for metal sex toys, or all three to one degree or another.

Otherwise I'm learning about Tiny Houses,

In the past few years I have:
- Traveled to six foreign countries including a rain forest in Costa Rica, gone White Water rafting in the desert and helped out at a orphanage in Peru, climbed mountains in Canada, salmon fished in Alaska, and flirted with life on the edge in Panama.
- Visited most of the states in the union, including Alaska and Hawaii. The mid-west and central plains are next on my list, with a plan to explore the Ozarks.

And that's only the start...
I’m really good at
I'm Great at: Looking damn good after yelling 'Hey Ya'll! Watch this!' regardless of what happens after word. Being a 'Weird Shit' magnet. Just hang around me long enough, you'll either be interested, excited, or high-tailing it back to Normal-ville.

I'm really good at finding the right firearm to find someone's needs and wants. I worked at a major firearms retailer for more then nine months, absolutely loved it, and between that and my advanced training in the USCG I can general find the right pistol, rifle, or shotgun for someone based on handiness, grip, weight, hand size, feel, and comfort level. I really enjoy firearms instruction and am currently working on getting my NRA certification as a instructor.

I'm also really great at finding stuff to do in a city. I have never understood the 'there's nothing to do' mentality in a place where you can find something to do 24/7. Might not be what was expected but it will be fun, I promise.
The first things people usually notice about me
My accent and voice are something people always notice immediately. It's been described as unique, memorable and 'like being in a puddle of warm jello' once upon a time. My voice is one of the first things most people notice. I have a 'unique' accent. I have the southern accent from my Dad and Semi-British accent from my Mom, who learned to speak in Great Britain as a Air Force brat and picked up the accent. The two combined to give my brothers and I a very unique accent.

I wear glasses! My jaw line, I turn beet red when I do blush, unflappable with even the strangest stuff, and sneaking up on people unintentionally seems to also be a factor here or there. Normally with co-workers it seems.

I will show up and go out dressed to the nines as your arm candy. I think guys these days don't take their appearance seriously enough, especially when they go out on dates in jean shorts and a t-shirt. I will be in a dress shirt and slacks or a very nice shirt with my jeans.

I drink rarely and very little when I do. Hard Cider or Whiskey are my two favorites. I don't drink to get drunk, ever.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I'm a voracious and avid bibliophile (lover of books). I average somewhere between two-four books a month. For mind candy I read Science Fiction/Fantasy and mysteries, or heavier reading ranges from current events to quite a few how-to books.

If you don't like living surrounded by enough books that if they fell over on top of you the literal weight of knowledge would kill you we may have some issues. I love books and people that love books.

Movies: The Princess Bride, because deep inside I'm a Dread Pirate Roberts too. The Last Samurai, Disney's Three Musketeers, The Saint, Tears of the Sun, Notting Hill, dramas, action, sci-fi, and instructional sex videos, because you can always learn something new. ;)

TV: Hmm... Well, I used to watch it. Not anymore. Books kind of took over on those long ocean voyages and never came back. I'll watch the stray show here or there, but only rarely. If I find something I like I'll normally borrow a box set.
When I watch television its typically either a science fiction or fantasy show (Grimm, Stargate, Defiance) , crime solving drama (Castle, CSI, Diagnosis Murder), comedy (Big Bang Theory, Home Improvement), sports (Top Shot and Football Play-Offs through the Super Bowl only), or based around science, history, or military technology (Future Weapons, Mythbusters, documentaries).
I don't watch 'Reality' Television and avoid it like the plague on the rare occasions I do watch something.

Music: I'm rocking to the AC/DC Live album, roll to Big & Rich, get down to anything with a little bump and grind, and relax to oldies from the 70's, 80's, and 90's or jazz.

Food: Fried Catfish is my favorite, with a side of fried Okra, collard greens, and cornbread muffins. Chocolate chip cookies and blackberry cobbler are my desserts of choice. Popcorn and oranges are my favorite snack foods. Whipped cream and ice my favorite toys. ^_~

My diet has changed some the last two years from a Gluten Allergy. Which means no white flour, wheat, barley, rye, etc. So I have to watch what I eat these days. But it's not as limiting as you might think.

Other stuff I like:

I love walking and hiking and they are my preferred mode of transport given the opportunity. You see a lot more and learn a area really well going on nice long walks. This is especially true in cities.

I enjoy and own firearms and would prefer to meet someone who is likewise wild about them or wants to learn more. A penchant for seditious, clandestine, and quirky 'ninja/spy' skills earns major points in my book.

Other Favorite things:
Fall Mutlifaceted friends Ghost Stories (I have some)
Mountains Rock Climbing Weird Skills
The color Orange Oranges Coats and heavy sweaters
The six things I could never do without
1. My twin brother and partner in crime, Jay. 2. Books, since I don't watch TV anymore. 3. Long open roads, because there's always somewhere new to go and something new to see and do. 4. Sunlight, because it always makes the day that much brighter. 5. Hot showers, because they are perfect for washing away a long day and steaming up the glass, if you know what I mean. 6. The outdoors, because there always something beyond those far blue mountains to see and hidden nooks to have some fun in.

Item wise (Easy to Carry on my person):

1. Towel - Never leave home with out it.
2. Multi-tool - Knife, saw, etc. It's McGuyver 2.0
3. Paracord/Rope - So many uses, so little time.
4. Steel Toed Boots - Because you can only walk the longest walk ever walked in comfortable boots, and drop heavy things upon occasion that are drawn to the foot's magnetic field.
5. Heavy leather belt - Again so many uses it's ridiculous to go without. ;)
6. Duster - Water-proof, warm, rugged, reliable, and stylish.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Things I'm moving toward and new adventures I want to have. You get only one life, try everything twice, it might of just been done poorly the first time.

Having a homestead farm in the Appalachian Mountains versus living on a sailboat and traveling that deep blue water. They seem so at odds sometimes yet more then worth it to do both.

Building a Tiny House to live in and haul around the country.
On a typical Friday night I am
Camping or hiking somewhere, discussing evil mad scientist things with make-up and special effects artist friends, at a fetish/kink club of one sort or another flogging, flirting, or talking shop with one or more people, or escaping into a world filled with lasers or sorcery between the pages of a good book among other things.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have modeled some, and I'm a bit sheepish admitting to it.

I have a weakness for the occasional campy/B superhero and science fiction movies, very long books, playing card, board, and warped, games with friends, the strange, and anything a bubble off plum.

I'm a one drink tipsy machine. I very rarely drink so the occasions I do it goes 'zoop' to my head if I've not eaten anything. I've always been this way and after one cider, no beer sadly, details below, I can nurse another the entire night and maintain a pleasant floating sensation. Needless to say I don't drink much.

I have Gluten Allergy. Because of this sometimes restaurants can be a bit hard to go to sometimes. I have it fairly well nailed down to a science now. Luckily there are also alot of good places in Sarasota that have menus angled toward this necessity. (Gluten - Wheat, Barley, Rye, White Flour, Beer, Cake, etc.)

Expounding on the more interesting side of things I will mention I am kinky and frequently involved with the local BDSM community. I do have a profile online somewhere for this and for those of you so inclined who know what 'FL' is. Please understand I AM NOT looking for casual sex, friends with benefits, intimate encounters or anything. I get more then my fair share of offers for it and that's NOT what I'm looking for just because I'm kinky. I find tattoos, piercings, body mods, and alternative women to be very attractive. My room-mates are both New College Alumni if that's any help.

I identify as a Switch with a 'Top heavy' leaning. I've been in the lifestyle for over six years now and have friends and references if curious.

If your curious or possibly interested in kink I am a open book and more then happy to answer any questions you may have. Questions, even prying ones, should be asked if you have them. I will happily answer.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–45
  • Located anywhere
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
Your looking for a 'well rounded scoundrel'. ;)

You love life and want to dance it with someone as crazy as you!

I am looking for Longer Term dating now. I would like to find someone to get married to. I'm not rushing into anything either. I just would like to find someone that I click with for the longer term and go through the stages getting to that point.

Allow me to reiterate this point: You are NOT looking for Casual Sex or Friends with Benefits. But to actually date. Casually, short term, or long term, etc. I'm a quality man and don't hop in bed with just anyone. Also given my search for a longer term relationship, that precludes popping in and out of bed.

If your Kinky and freaky and want to have a good time with someone that accepts, understands, and enjoys all that can entail. Understand I am not into casual sexual liaisons. I prefer that connection with the person/persons I am dating. I do have a Fetlife profile for those interested. I identify as a Switch now, though still primarily as a Dominant / Dom / Top in BDSM. I have, out of curiosity and for the sake of self exploration, recently started exploring possibly Switching (Being Dom or Submissive / Sub) on a lark. If interested about this please feel free to contact me frankly and directly. I am interested in exploring Submission / Sub with the right person. I do have a Fetlife profile if your interested.

I am Pagan / Wiccan and this is something you should consider. I don't have issues with other religions and have dated those not of mine with no issue. I'm not going to convert from Paganism. It's what works and communicates for me to the divine.

First dates I like going out and doing something fun or adventurous, going to get dessert first at a diner or restaurant that has great desserts, talking endlessly till all hours, and seeing what mischief can be gotten into.

I do enjoy corresponding a little before I give out my number or other contact information. If you are interested in me longer correspondence definitely catches my attention very quickly as I reply at length when given the opportunity. If you have any questions I'm a open book and willing to hop on even it your like discussing how, for example, purple people eaters like wearing anime co-splay while petting cats and discussing ancient greeco-roman histories.

If your still with me by this point drop me a message and I will reply, though it may take a day or two. I am being picky about whom I reply to currently. I'm, again, looking more long term potential partner if possible.
