My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've just returned to the Pacific Northwest after several years abroad in the middle of nowhere, Africa. I was a ranger and research assistant in the African bush and I specialized in anti-poaching activities. Most of my days and nights involved leading volunteer researchers way closer to lions than they ever really wanted to be.

Parties and social events make me happy. In my free time I'm a bit of an adrenaline junkie and pretty dedicated to running. I'm a huge fan of science, and my University background is in zoology, biology, and ethology. I also have a culinary arts degree and spent several years as a chef. I'm always interested in meeting new people, especially when they are exciting!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work at Harborview, and it's really a fun place to be when you show up voluntarily! I'm currently enrolled in a nursing program, and my dream is to work for Doctors Without Borders or the Red Cross.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Not spilling beer, building campfires, putting up hammocks, walking barefoot, falling asleep outside.

It's a shame none of these are marketable.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
At parties I count as social. Everywhere else, I'm probably just very friendly and loud. You can't win them all.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: Benjamin Hoff for 'The Tao Of Pooh'
Jon Krakaur for 'Into the Wild'
Dan Abnett because I like action-packed reads.
Bill Waterson because Calvin and Hobbes still gets me every time.

TV+ Movies: I just returned from no TV for more than a year, so I'm catching up with Game of Thrones and Sherlock. Also, just started Orange is the New Black. It's pretty neat. I'm always open to suggestions!

Food: Yes please. The spicier the better. I will always choose seafood if it's on the menu. And I drink a lot of tea. No, really, it's a problem.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Flip Flops
2. Hoodie
3. Sunglasses
4. Tea
5. Hammock
6. Running shoes
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why didn't I run off and join the circus or a band of gypsies? Is there still time? Do they take resumes, or is it a working-interview type deal?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
My favorite way to spend weekend nights is at the pub or drinking around a fire with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm adopted! And people sometimes tell me that I look like my sister- I usually just thank them, but I sometimes wonder if I am supposed to tell them I'm not actually related.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
I'm not a white-picket fence and kids kind of guy right now. I want to change the world and have time for new experiences as far away as possible.

I'm really interested in meeting someone independent and excited about life. Nothing is more attractive than a positive attitude and adventurous spirit.
