My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Recently returned home from two years in Mozambique, where I taught biology as a Peace Corps volunteer. Enjoyed a few months of gainful unemployment and re-acclimation to life in Americaland, mainly by taking lots of long hot showers and eating cheese. So much cheese.

Now I have reluctantly returned to the workforce, which tragically cuts back on full days lazing at Zilker or hipster-watching at coffee shops. But it does come with more money than the Peace Corps, which is nice.

Though my calendar is now a bit more curtailed, I still intend to take full advantage of my favorite city in the world. Applications for concert/museum/Alamo Drafthouse/pub trivia/Hill Country Adventure sidekicks now being accepted.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Saving the world. Also trying to live ferociously and honestly. And hoping I stumble upon someone like-minded along the way.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Random useless trivia, napping, witty repartee, dropping/breaking things, blinding African children (with science!)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Recent winners: Movies - Safety Not Gauranteed, Cabin in the Woods, Skyfall; TV - Game of Thrones, Homeland; Books - Wolf Hall, Cloud Atlas, The Disappearing Spoon; Music - Electric Guest, Grimes, Passion Pit, Yuna, How to Dress Well. But the list could go way on.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Peace Corps life has taught me I can live without most anything. That's not to say I wouldn't mind regularly getting laid, consistently speedy Internets, easily available ethnic food, a down pillow, pellet ice, and adorable pet Labradors.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Ways to engage kids in learning; the current failures and future possibilities of international development; all the glories of Americaland; all the batshit craziness of Americaland; boys, beats, Battlestar Galactica.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Cooking/hosting dinner with friends, mainly as an excuse for baking something. On Tuesdays I skip the pretense and just have cookies for dinner.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You exude confidence, sophistication, intelligence, class, and a dry or sarcastic wit. But under that you are equal parts terrified, thrilled, and awed by the world; genuinely and unabashedly excited about comic books or Settlers of Catan or some such nerd-ery; and laugh to the point of tears over an awesomely bad pun.

It would also be awesome if you are kind, and know yourself, and have a decent idea what you want from the world, and are man enough to be open about all of that.
