My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Let's see....I'm a morning person, lover of autumn and winter, and an introvert at heart. I think traveling is one of the best things in the world (11 countries and counting), but find myself always a bit nostalgic for DC whenever I'm gone. I think IPAs are a bit overrated, but good beers, wines, and bourbons always make for an enjoyable day. I love books, podcasts are my audio accompaniment for being out and about (though none are NPR-based, which baffles some people), and I'm equally comfortable watching a football game or a Kennedy Center show.

Things I like in a person? I'm love when someone is independent and smart; when they have passions and interests that make them tick. The type of person who can get asked a question about something and goes on and on in their answer because they're so excited and wrapped up in their interest that they forget they're in a conversation. I love confidence and openness to the world. I like when someone shows they can be equally stubborn and empathetic. And though I would love to find someone who has similar interests to me, I'm looking for someone that can expand my view of the world, not just share mine.

Since this is DC, I should give fair warning that I'm a huge Progressive. Most people's Left is closer to my Center. I also have way too much snark for my own good.....which I try to severely tone back when getting to know someone.

By day, I work in human rights-focused international development in the Middle East. And at night, I wait tables to help pay those student loan bills.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
sarcastic humor....I've also always been the "reliable guy" that people go to.

I usually get eyes as this answer. Blue eyes.

I was also recently told by a number of people who just met me that I'm the easiest person to talk to and that I make people feel comfortable around me.

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where should I travel to next? Should I change careers? Why are people so infatuated with cupcakes or bacon? I mean they're both delicious, but not obsessively addictive.

My sister is one of my favorite people in the world...though we can never let her know that (haha)
