Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I was in the Army for 6 years and got out in February of 2012. I'm
still in the National Guard until November of 2013 finishing out my
reserve obligation, but after that I plan on getting out for good.
Right now I am a student at Texas Tech University studying to be a
computer programmer. I am extremely confident in just about
everything I do. With all the stuff I've seen after 6 years in the
Army there's not much that I come across that I can't handle.
Hopefully that doesn't come off as arrogant, but that's just me.
Some of my more endearing qualities are loyalty, reliability and
integrity. I know a lot of people say that and then don't deliver,
so if you're not sure whether or not you believe me you'll have to
find out for yourself :p lol.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now I'm going to Texas Tech to get my BS in Computer Science.
I want to be a computer programmer; Either that or start my own
programming business. As of right now I plan to apply for the dual
BS MS Computer Science program and then get my PhD.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Being smart. I'm also very good at listening and coming up with
solutions to problems. I'm a problem solver, that's part of why I'm
studying to become an engineer. I also happen to be very good at
teaching, at least according to all of my friends who I helped
tutor during the semester.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Apparently I have an accent (so I'm told). I also get called smart
a lot, but I don't think that would qualify as the FIRST thing
people notice about me.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Book: The Sword of Truth Series (the show sucked), The Malazan Book
of the Fallen series, all three of the Kushiel trilogies. TV Shows:
Big Bang Theory, SportsCenter (I don't watch much TV). Oh and I
love watching the Packers play. Unfortunately most of the time I
have to do other things.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
I hate these questions. I can never think of six things. As long as
I have someone to talk to and the basic necessities of life (food,
water etc) I'm just fine. Having certain things taken away makes
life interesting. When I was deployed we had to come up with
creative ways to entertain ourselves. Coming up with those ideas
was almost as fun as implementing them lol. If you're around the
right people there's no way you can't keep yourself entertained and
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I honestly think about the future a lot. Things I'd like to do, or
accomplish and how I might accomplish them. Goals are good to have,
but without a plan they're just wishes. I eventually want to get my
PhD in CS, but I have to have a plan to get there. Right now my
choices are either work straight through after my masters or get
workplace experience before going for my PhD. I'm leaning towards
working straight through since I already have real life job
experience, even if it isn't in the area of computer programming.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Studying, watching football, or hanging out with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
IDK. There aren't many things I feel the need to hide. Ask me
something and I'll tell you if its private lol. 99% of the time
though I have no problem answering questions about myself.
