Life is too short to be anything other than happy.

Been here in Nashville, off and on, for about 15 years. It feels like home. I've spent time living in Atlanta, Houston, Vermont, and the Bahamas.

I travel often. I read. I do not play an instrument. I sing only in the car or in moments of extreme weakness and intoxication at karaoke. I joke ALL the time. The smell of blueberry muffins cooking is the worst thing ever.

That's me in a nutshell. Everything else is just fluff.

Living the dream.

Trying to balance that fine line of enjoying the present while preparing for the future.

I'm a chef-food guy. Sometimes I write about it, sometimes I get to travel because of it, and I eat well all the time.

My life is an adventure, and I'm always looking for new stories to tell.

Guy stuff, like fixing things, operating a grill and smoker, working on cars, butchering meat, poker, useless and random sports statistics, carpentry, computers and electronics, drinking beer, and Big Buck Hunter.

Also, cooking, sarcasm, kissing, procrastinating, being thoughtful, giving an honest opinion, crossword puzzles, making people laugh, remembering quotes from random movies, being a good big brother, naps...

My brilliant blue eyes or my Southern charm.

Or the 16 tattoos.

McCarthy, Bourdain, Palahniuk, Vonnegut, Paulo Coelho, Mark Twain, Neil Gaiman. I have a Shel Silversteen and a To Kill a Mockingbird tattoo. So there's that.

The Princess Bride. The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. Love, Actually. Anything with Bill Murray. Wes Anderson. David Lynch. Shitty action movies.

TV: Walter White, Raylan Givens, Jax Teller, Al Swerengin, Steve Holt, Tom Collichio, Benson and Stabler, Codename: Duchess, all of Westeros and Don Draper.

My three favorite bands I've never seen live are Modest Mouse, Radiohead, and Nine Inch Nails. Although I've seen NKOTB twice, almost 20 years apart, and Muse put on the best show I've ever seen,

I firmly believe that "Take On Me" is the best song to come out of the 80s.

I could eat Mexican for every meal. Also- sushi, bacon, and home cooked meals.

Road trips.
The quilt my grandma made me in 2nd grade.
Warm weather.
Kentucky Basketball.

The future. Holding out hope for hover-boards before I die. (fingers crossed!)

There is nothing typical about my Friday nights. Or any day of my life, for that matter.

Except Tuesdays.

Tuesdays are for knitting.

I wanted to teach high school theatre- 1st semester of student teaching and I realized how much I hate children that age. Little shitheads.
