My self-summary
I'm new to the area. Just moved down here from Stafford. To start I'm technically unemployed, by choice. If that didn't scare you off then you are likely a better person than I deserve. I quit my job as a Security Manager in the DC area to move down here to help take care of my niece. My sister has been struggling lately and needed someone reliable to help her. So now I'm hanging out with one of the coolest people on earth for chump change and I'm happier than I ever was in northern Virginia. (And no, I don't live with her.) This has also given me the chance to go back to school and eventually get a real career; one I'll enjoy.

I've been told that I have a rather intense personality, especially in a business setting. I smile because I know I'm supposed to and laugh when I can. Despite my stern, almost stoic expression, I have a witty, punny, quirky personality trapped inside that shares a cell with my old soul. I am easy to get along and integrate easily into most crowds. I'm very family oriented, an aspect which I've placed before my personal ambitions more than once. I don't drink, smoke, do drugs or anything of the sort. I don't mind the first two but the last one is a "No Fly Zone" for me.

Now, I'm not on here looking for a sugar momma, NSA fun or anything of the sort. I am legitly on here looking for someone just for me. I want someone I can spend some time with, either staying in or going out. I'm living on a budget right now so I won't be doing a lot of the latter, nor do I expect you to or will I allow another to pick up the slack for me. I want your time and your companionship, that's all.

I'm openminded when it comes to race and having children of your own (I do want some of my own one day) but I have to say that I'm not into larger women. I've tried it, it's not my cup of tea for multiple reasons. Otherwise, I'm not picky. Just be able to type and talk like you've been educated and we'll be just fine!

Discaimer: Expect dry, deadpan humor at times and puns. Lots of awful, terrible, hilarious puns.
What I’m doing with my life
Currently taking care of my niece, doing freelance character art and going to back to school to get a degree in Game Design.
I’m really good at
....at embarrassing myself.
....at getting that perfect pun in.
....being creative.
....cooking various dishes.
....causing half-witted grins to full blown laughter or just making eyes roll.
....at quoting songs, t.v., movies, etc.
The first things people usually notice about me
My height....it's a shame I'm not taller. Then my passive expression, followed shortly by my humor.

I mostly get complimented on my eyes and, for some odd reason, my shoulders. People tend to also despise my humor as I like slapstick, dry humor, puns and the likes,
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like all varieties of movies. As long as the story's good and I can understand it (with or without the use of subtitles) then I'll watch it and will possibly enjoy it too. My all time favorite movies would be Phantom of the Opera (though I prefer the live Broadway much more), Stranger Than Fiction, V for Vendetta, The Boondock Saints and anything Disney.

Some of my favorite television shows include American Dad, Breaking Bad, Doctor Who, Family Guy, Fringe, House M.D., Law & Order: SVU, NCIS, The Walking Dead, Z Nation, etc. I also like anime but it's more of a passive thing.

Music.....lots of music. Lots of types of music. You can listen to 20 songs on my mp3 player and possibly get 20 different artists and genres. My favorite artists will always be Frank Sinatra and Elvis Presley. However, electric swing, dubstep and symphonic metal are trending right now.

I enjoy reading as well but lately that interest only comes with recommended books. The last book I sat down and read thoroughly was American Gods. My favorite book is The Phantom by Susan Kay. I generally read it once or twice a year.
The six things I could never do without
1. My family.
2. Music.
3. The internet.
4. Humor.
5. Food, for other than obvious reasons.
6. And for the realistic answer...air.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Anything. Everything. Nothing. It differs from time to time, often drifting between the past, present, future and everything between humorous and philosophical. Like how long I would survive in a zombie apocalypse, what'd it'd be like to own a restaurant, epic karaoke moments that would make me shine even if I can't sing, etc.
On a typical Friday night I am
....usually playing a game or watching netflix or watching my niece.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Private? No, no, no. I'm an open book and thus not very private at all. How about some fun facts instead?

I'm a Jungian ISTJ and although I embody the astrological Taurus sign I only use it because astrology amuses me.

I'm actually a big nerd on the inside. I tend to shock people with my obscene amount of Star Wars, DC, Marvel, medieval, fantasy, sci-fi and general video game lore.

I use a lot of emoticons and am a lot more expressive in text form! :D No. Seriously. :|

Can do the voice of Stitch from Disney's Lilo & Stitch.

And other...less interesting stuff.
You should message me if
Because you want to is the best and most logical reason I can think of. If you come up with another reason feel free to let me know!
