A few years back I moved from the Las Vegas, Nevada area to the middle of nowhere in Wisconsin. Since I'm mildly socially retarded, I haven't made too many close friendships since moving, which can suck at times.

I write fantasy and science fiction and spend far too much time roleplaying. When I venture outside, I tend to enjoy hiking and gardening and generally running amuck. Someday, I hope to hike the Appalachian Trail. I'm rather sardonic and have the bad habit of playing Devil's advocate no matter what's being discussed. If I really like someone I'll argue with him, because I know he can take it.

I've found that having different views from someone doesn't really get in the way of friendship. Having similar goals and compatible lifestyles seems to matter so much more. I guess I'd call myself a social liberal, though I might sometimes argue from a conservative point of view just to mess with people's heads. I probably have more in common with a sort of...friendly anarchy than either major political party in the US.

Did I mention writing? I consider myself to be a fairly brilliant cook. Indian and Mexican food tend to be what I do best, though I'm pretty handy with creme puffs and puddings. I'm pretty into theatre, too, and founded the Student Theatre Association at my college. And then had the honor of our very first production being banned.

I know I should put something clever in here that allows you to understand just what kind of person I am and what makes me tick, but I seriously can't think of a single thing (aside from the basics of survival) that I couldn't do without. So long as I have my own mind, I'm pretty much set to go. Having something to write with and a person to talk to would be a pleasant bonus.

Or how a body could instantaneously disappear using WWII technology (would a direct artillery shell hit do it? Hmmmm).

Or lots of other random, weird things.

Sitting at home, most likely. I may be roleplaying or reading or watching a movie, but while I like going out well enough, I'm not the type to go wander bars alone. Like I said above, I haven't been too great at socializing since I moved.

Anything I post on the Internet with my face and location attached to it is pretty much the antithesis of private.

You have something interesting to say and can handle the occasional (or not so occasional) bizarre conversation. If hypothetical questions are your idea of a good time. If you like to sing along to the radio and make up stories about every random thing you see. If every day you're alive has the potential for turning into a ridiculous adventure and some of your best times have been had while lost in a strange city.
