My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I was born out west but have basically spent my entire life in North Carolina. I have a small family with which I am very close. I have a great group of friend some of which I've known since elementary school.

I am very passionate about my job. I love teaching and have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. I love to see the impact I have on my students lives. I also love to find ways to express myself creatively. I love photography and painting. I love to discover new things about the world around me. Over the past year, I have gone on a journey to discover who I am and who I want to be. I've made great changes in my life and I can't wait to see where they take me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am fourth grade teacher after teaching kindergarten for four years. I love my job and can't imagine doing anything else.

I've recently made some pretty big changes in my life and I'm excited to see where they take me. Over the past year I've lost about 125 pounds. I try to work out 5 to 7 days a week. I've recently gotten into running and love looking for new trails and areas to run and explore.

I love spending time outside and being creative whenever I can. I love to draw and paint. It's a great way to relieve stress.

I love people watching. It's a great pass time. The gym and the bookstore are my go to spots.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm a great listener and a fierce friend. I'm fairly creative. I'm also the one who is usually able to find the silver lining in any situation. I can read very well and can operate a DVR all by myself (haha). Also sudoku. I love those little number puzzles :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I usually have a smile on my face. Also my baby blue eyes. My sister says the "color part" is quite large.

Who really knows. I've never asked anyone. I guess you'll have to tell me!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I love reading almost anything. Dystopian novels are some of my favorites. Books like 1984, Brave New World, Hunger Games, and Divergent. George Orwell is one of my favorite authors and I just recently finished Animal Farm and loved it. Some other great books: "The Know-it All" by AJ Jacobs, "Sum" by David Eagleman, all Harry Potter books, and "The Cheese Monkeys" by Chip Kidd. Honestly I love to read and am always looking for suggestions.

Movies: Movies are another thing that I have a wide range of favorites. I have a rather extensive movie collection. Some favorite are: Drop Dead Gorgeous, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Inception, Fast and the Furious, Pitch Perfect, V for Vendetta, Pirate Radio, Dazed and Confused, etc. I'll watch almost any movie. Not a big fan of super gory movies however.

TV: I love crime dramas like Elementary and Criminal minds. I love watching cooking and design shows to help get inspiration. I also enjoy Game of Thrones, Sons of Anarchy, Orange is the New Black, Hemlock Grove, The Big Bang Theory, and Grimm. I'll sometime watch reality competition shows like The Voice and Project Runway. I also never miss a Carolina Basketball game.

Music: I could listen to music all day every day. I'll listen to almost anything but not the biggest fan of metal, heavy rap, and country. When I get the opportunity I love to see live music. Some favorites: Jack's Mannequin & Something Corporate (props if you know the difference) Bastille, Paramore, OneRepublic, Panic at the Disco, John Mayer, Sara Bareilles, Macklemore, Ellie Goulding, Alexi Murdoch, The Civil Wars, Gavin Degraw, American Authors etc. I still listen to a lot of the same stuff from high school (Fall Out Boy, All American Rejects, Death Cab for Cutie, Guster, etc) but I love discovering new music.

Current Pandora stations on rotation:
Anytime: Bastille, 90s Pop Radio, Sam Smith
Workout: Pop & Hip Hop Power Workout, Electronic Cardio

Food: I'll eat almost anything except I don't eat red meat. I try to eat pretty healthy as a part of some life style changes I've made. I love to cook and discover new recipes.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Family & Friends
2. Laughter
3. Great music
4. My fantastic job
5. Phone/Internet
6. Creative outlet
7. Work out

(I know it says 6. Some rules are meant to be broken!)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
If my life had a soundtrack, what song would be playing right now?

Random I know. haha.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I'm usually off to the gym after work. After that it could be hanging out with friends or relaxing at home with a movie after a long week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Nobody believes me when I say I'm an introvert. I do well with large groups of people but it's not something I'm super comfortable with. I guess I'm really good at hiding it.

Also have an extreme phobia of clowns. They give me the heebie-jeebies!

You are looking for something long term. Also if you want to get coffee or a drink sometime. Text communication is fine for a bit but nothing beats a face to face conversation.

Also if you have any questions, any of this made you smile, or you think we'd get along!
