Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
(DISCLAIMER: I'm very shy about starting conversations, so I'm not
very good at sending folks messages.)
Soooooo, firstly and very importantly, this site doesn't seem to
have an option for folks who have non-binary gender identities.
I've put down "female" on my profile, because that's what my
parents and the law recognize me as, but I'm really more of a
genderqueer, bigender, third-gender kind of person. Gender is
pretty wibbly-wobbly for me, but I think "trans-masculine" is
probably the easiest way for me to describe myself? Different
people in my life use he, she, and they as pronouns for me, but I
think I prefer he and they? At least this week... I've also put
down "gay" for sexual orientation, but with how my gender and the
genders of people I find myself attracted to work, that word
doesn't really fit quite right. I mean, if you're someone who isn't
particularly a man or a woman, what does homosexual really even
mean? Gah. Sexuality is complicated. Urgh.
Now that all that's out of the way, Hi! I'm Cal.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
-Avoiding doing schoolwork/taking forever to finish a Gender
-Working with a queer advocacy group on campus.
-Spending two hours a week behind a desk getting barked at by
people who don't know how their student health plan works.
-Being a part-time photocopy-jockey on campus.
-Watching/listening to the new Beyonce album on a loop
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
-Getting in arguments on the internet.
