Hello! My friends tell me that I'm a warm, pleasant chap with a good - if occasionally weird - sense of humour, a vast knowledge of odd trivia, a helpful streak and unfailingly fair to people. I should probably reveal my weaknesses here too - I can be a bit quiet in large groups, but one-on-one am quite chatty, I don't go out as often as I'd perhaps like, but I'm willing to try new experiences when given the push, and have an awful habit of procrastination. I also hate filling these things out because they make me seem so immodest.

I'm studying for a physics degree! It's pretty cool because I get to find out about the universe and stuff. I'm studying with the Open University and to pay for it all I work on the checkouts at Tesco.

I'm sort of stuck in the middle of nowhere at the moment so my free time is largely spent on the internet or reading.

Algebra. It's not very romantic but it does make a lot of sense. :D

My more practical skills include cookery, driving and kart racing video games.

I've been told that my voice is listenable and that I should narrate things.

My favourite book is Good Omens by Pratchett and Gaiman. I'm a fan of Pratchett generally, but other authors I like include Robert Rankin, Christopher Moore and Tom Holt.

My favourite movie is currently Blade Runner. I'm also a big fan of the Indiana Jones trilogy, as well as Shaun of the Dead , Hot Fuzz and Back to the Future. I recently watched Synecdoche, New York, and that film is devastating in a weird way.

My favourite bands are Reel Big Fish, Harvey Danger, Kaiser Chiefs and Electric Six. I do like a lot of music though and am generally open to most stuff.

I love Chinese food, as well as Italian (but who doesn't like that?).

I like a lot of TV. I love stuff like Black Books, Peep Show, Chris Morris' stuff (On the Hour to Brass Eye especially), Alan Partridge, 30 Rock, Parks and Recreation, The Simpsons and Futurama. I follow a fair few American serials too, such as Fringe, Supernatural, Homeland, Hannibal and Arrow at the moment. I like panel shows such as QI and Buzzcocks, and stuff like Sherlock and Doctor Who too. I think Look Around You, Arrested Development and The Simpsons series 3-8 are all perfect TV shows.

If I was sent back to the middle ages with no way to come back to the present day how would I use my knowledge of the future and modern devices to my advantage? Weird stuff like that.
