WOW! I never thought in a million years that I would be doing something like this!

They say honesty is the best way to go, so here I go!

I like to think of myself as a person who marches to the beat of her own drum. I'd like to meet people that are of like mind. You know, free spirited and adventurous. This person should also want to march with me only
and be looking for a loving, caring, understanding woman who will be there when you need her but also give you space when you need that too. A great sense of humor is very important to me because I love to laugh. I try to keep a positive attitude and have found that if I can find humor in the bad times, then they aren't really that bad.

Looks aren't that important to me. I'm more interested in what's on the inside; guys that are sweet, understanding, kind and truthful. I hate being lied to. It's great if you can hold your own in a conversation but it's just as important to know when to say nothing. At first I'm kind of shy, but after I get to know you it's a whole other story.

I have been widowed for a little over three years and feel that I am ready to put that part of my life behind me and head out for new adventures. I miss having a man to share the ups downs of life with. Sometimes a hug, caress or a word of encouragement are the best gift a person can give to another and I'm hoping to find that special guy who is willing to give that to me as well as get it in return. When I care for someone it is with my whole being and I am very loyal.

I'm not into head games and liars and not looking for a one night stand. So if you are one of those guys please move on. I'm not looking to get married right now but I don't rule it out....just need to find the right man, whatever happens...you never know! I really want to be friends first and see where it goes. I miss the companionship & friendship of a loving, fun guy.

Oh yeah, a love life again would be the icing on the cake! I love to hug, cuddle and kiss and really miss having that special guy who knows when I need one or just want one. I love to go to the beach and play in the waves, the mountains and desert are great too. I also love going to car shows, motorcycles, dining out and swap meets/garage sales/estate sales. Vegas and gambling are great too but not something I need to do. I'm really into MMA, UFC and King of the Cage.

I am retired from a major newspaper where I worked in advertising and marketing for nineteen years. I'm an avid reader. I'm financially stable, would love to travel again and think I'm pretty stable emotionally too. I'm not a Barbie doll but at our age I'm not expecting Ken either. I like to be casual but can also put on that special dress for a night on the town. As I said before I'm not all that much into the looks. I'm just hoping there's a few good guys left in this world and maybe you'll take a chance and get in touch with me. Never know what might happen! fun:
I love the outdoors, the mountains & camping, hiking, the beach, the desert. Day spa trips are great; so are car/bike shows, swap meets, love most sports but more of a spectator than a participant. Really into King of the Cage and MMA. I recently became part owner in a Mixed Martial Arts Training Center. A very exciting time for me but a bit scary. I DO NOT BOWL OR PLAY BINGO.....

I've been out of the work force for three years. Honestly I don't miss it. I keep very busy and am financially secure enough to be able to enjoy myself. Worked for a major newspaper for 20 years. Loved it.

I go to church on Sunday, and have a personal, deep spiritual relationship with God. I do not require that my ideal match share my spiritual beliefs if they are responsible and a good person.

favorite hot spots:
Love to travel, Vegas sometimes...not a lot. I prefer Starbucks to the bar scene and would rather go wild at home or someplace private. I've been to Europe and want to go back. Traveled the U.S., but still have a lot to see. Dining out; Seafood is the best!

Will try just about anything once and love to just get out there and have a good time. Favorite thing to do-LAUGH!

Books: I just finished reading The Gatehouse by Nelson DeMille...a bit of a disappointment and Made in the U.S.A. by Billie Letts...a nice read. Today I read the L.A. Times...news junkie

Food: Italian and Mexican...a good steak & seafood too

Movies: Godfather trilogy, Goodfellas, Romance & Cigarettes, Fried Green Tomatoes, Pulp Fiction...Too many to list

Music: Old Rock, Blues but my favorite is Country. Love to dance, especially SLOW DANCE. Have recently taken up Karaoke... I really sound good if I've have a few drinks!
